Recent video work for @thenorthface featuring a 1 of 1 custom shoe design by @ant.kai šŸ‘Ÿ

The goal was to show Ant’s process of designing a custom TNF Glenclyffe shoe while wrapping his story into it. We wanted to lean into the different environments that spark creativity — city, studio, and nature.

#Ad In this episode of the #90secondvlog, I partnered up with @delta to share my trip to London and also some thoughts on why you should consider booking that trip soon āœˆļø

To start, we took a non-stop flight from Seattle to London. It’s really convenient being able to take a direct flight from my local airport. Truth is, Delta is my favorite airline. Everything from booking hotel bundles to the flight experiences, Delta has always been the go-to airline for me.

I love to travel because it helps me break up the normal routine. I fully understand that not everyone has the ability or means to travel to far places. But whether you are traveling 100 miles or 1000 miles away, new places bring new experiences which leads to new growth. Traveling has helped me learn things about myself and others. If you’ve been searching for something new and exciting, book that trip you’ve been thinking about and stay open minded. I promise you won’t regret it. taken in London, United Kingdom by @edwardleefilms

In this episode of the #90secondvlog, #Ad I got together with my creator friends to shoot a video for the @lincoln CorsairĀ® and share my creative process. More specifically, the importance of collaboration:

SHARING IDEAS

I’ve always tried to be as open-minded as possible when it comes to the creative process. I don’t have all the answers and I’ll never claim to know it all. I’m fully convinced that if you share ideas in a team setting, you can come up with better results. At the very minimum, it will give insight into how other people view your idea.

COLLABORATION IS KEY

I loved this video concept because it’s a great example of teamwork. Quite literally could not have gotten this video done without each person you see in this video. Don’t always wait to get reached out to by someone else to make things happen. You go out there and find the people you want to surround yourself with.

LINCOLN CORSAIR

I’ve been driving this vehicle for the last few months and have genuinely been enjoying it. Aside from the design, I’ve come to appreciate the quiet and luxurious comfort. The light-up sequence never gets old and it makes me look forward to getting into the vehicle each time. It’s been a blast working with Lincoln on my last two 90s vlogs.

Sometimes the most annoying part of putting together a moodboard, shot list, or deck is just getting the references into the format I actually need - GIFs

If I find a moment in a film/video I want to reference or turn into a GIF, I’m usually:

- taking screenshots
- screen recording
- using sketchy video downloaders
- bouncing between multiple apps

It’s a small thing, but when you’re pulling dozens of references, it really slows down the ideation process.

I’ve been using Bloom’s GIF Maker recently and it’s made this part of my workflow way easier. I can paste in a video, find the exact moments I want, and quickly pull out stills or GIFs for my decks.

Every creative or filmmaker will agree, being able to pull meaningful references and presenting them in a way that is inspiring is one of the most important steps in the pre-production process.

Every year the new iPhone comes out, I’m always curious to test how closely it compares to my fuji point and shoot camera. The 15 minute video is now on YouTube :)

But if you want to cliff notes, here you go

Why I still love the x100vi:

- Better images straight out of camera
- More options for color with film simulations
- Dedicated view finder
- Articulating screen

Why the iPhone 18 Pro is awesome:

- 3 separate lenses (versatility)
- Genuinely compact for the quality
- Can edit straight a way on mobile
- New tools for film looks or color

For me personally, there’s still justifications to keep both in my kit when traveling, creating content, or taking photos. So this is the closest Apple has gotten to closing the gap, but it’s still there imo.

Unboxing the @msius 40th Anniversary laptop - The Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic. This laptop might be overkill and not for everyone, but from a design/tech standpoint, it’s cool to watch a brand make something fun and go all-in on a product just because they can šŸ’» by @edwardleefilms

Not sponsored - just wanted to give my thoughts on a new set of lenses I purchased a while back šŸ¤

Over the last several months I’ve been focusing my efforts on improving as a DP and growing my video production business. I’m constantly tweaking my kit and seeing how I improve the quality but also the workflow. As a Sony shooter, here’s what I love about these lenses:

1. Compact size
2. E-mount (no adapters)
3. Fast lens (T1.5)
4. Build quality
5. Sharp image w/ subtle character
4. Affordable (for primes)

Hoping to start sharing more of my process soon. I’ve been taking social media slower as I focused on a few other areas in my life. But have tons of projects to start sharing and feeling hyped for what’s ahead.

If you’re interested in watching a full breakdown of my experience with these lenses, I uploaded a YouTube review (edwardleefilms2 on yt) šŸŽ„
