The other is Fearless Ventures — where hiking, biking, skiing, and the beauty of the outdoors become experiences everyone can be part of.

Welcome to Waco Adapt! A program and facility run under Fearless Ventures Foundation ready to serve the adaptive community. My personal experience molded the belief that people with disabilities deserve more than just “rehab”. Recovery goes so much further than reclaiming physical strength. Real healing happens when you gain community, and purpose. That is what we plan to bring to Waco, Texas!

A charity hospital stay led me to meet my PT who later became the partner in helping bring this to life. It takes a village and I think we have the best team ready to make an impact. Like many, my new world with paralysis started with a million questions and zero answers. The exact environment that I, and many others, needed in their journey is what we plan to build and grow! This started as a dream years ago. Now we’re watching it come to life right in front of us — and it’s a beautiful thing.

We are rehab.
We are recreation.
We are showing people what’s still possible.

Nestled amongst the Rocky Mountains of Colorado are now some trails that even the most adaptive athletes will explore. The truth is, the world is not built for people with disabilities let alone a mountainside at almost 10,000 feet. Fearless Ventures is about rehab and recreation but on our own terms. We want to escape the ordinary and live without the very walls we build around ourselves. Disabled means nothing when you have the right mindset and community. Our gym will provide the rehabilitation and allow our athletes to test their hard work in the outdoors through recreation. Hiking in the mountains is something that I thought I would never get to do and yesterday we reached the peak of this historic mountain at 9,941 ft! Our trails are ready for the adaptive community and we cannot wait to bring others here to venture. There has been years of hard work to modify these trails and there has been two things I’m reminded of. One of the hardest things to do is jump back into normal life when you’ve been living on an adrenaline high. After obsessing over a goal for so long and it being done and over. I’m constantly reminding myself that life has to run on more than motivation. Show up. Every day. Especially on days you don’t want to.
