To think that 17 months ago, I almost ended my life and found myself entering residential treatment on May 11, 2025… I spent the next three months fighting for myself, healing, and learning how to let go.

It’s incredible how much life can change when you finally give yourself a chance to heal. Those three months didn’t just change my life they saved it.

Progress isn’t just what I see in the mirror. It’s choosing myself on the days my mind is heavy, showing up when it would be easier to disappear, and learning that healing can be strong, disciplined, and beautiful. I’m proud of the body I’m building but even prouder of the peace, self-respect, and resilience I’m building within. One day at a time. 🤍

We met at rock bottom, but we didn’t build a home there. We didn’t trauma bond we recovery bonded. ❤️

We’ve watched each other grow, held each other accountable, celebrated our wins, understood the struggles without judgment, and continued pushing each other toward better versions of ourselves.

This weekend reminded me how rare it is to have someone you can laugh with, talk about absolutely anything with, or simply do nothing beside and still feel completely connected.

And of course, Pink Blush is officially our song now because the amount of times we blasted that shit this weekend is actually insane 😂💗 Every time I hear it now, I’m gonna think about this weekend and us.
Recovery gave me a lot, but one of its greatest gifts was you. I miss you already, best friend. Until next time. ❤️ by @edwin_sm93
