Christmas to us is about bringing people together. It’s about creating long lasting memories. Every laughter, every accomplishment, and every milestone is cherished.

This Christmas is very special to us because we are all bonded by one little beautiful soul which makes us family. To get them all in one room and let each of them know how equally important they are to us both is not only a reminder, but to let them know we will always be here for them. There is nothing we wouldn’t do for our children.

Merry Christmas 🎄

Cum Laude. 🎓🤍

I started nursing school with a newborn at home, postpartum, pumping at home and at school, sleep deprived, and navigating postpartum blues. I spent hours in school and clinicals, then came home, cooked, worked and studied for hours more till my eyes could no longer stay open lol.

I did this for myself and my family, but one of my greatest motivations has always been my children. I hope they see this as proof that it’s never too late to chase a dream, reinvent yourself, or become more than you ever imagined.

Thank you to all my family and friends who stuck around during my quiet times and understood that it was all for a bigger purpose. I love yall!!!

Lastly, thank you @kieembaker for believing in me and helping me through it all. I couldn’t have done it without you and our families. 💙😘

I did it. With honors. Cum Laude. And this is only the beginning. 🇵🇭👩🏽‍🎓✨

Pag pag is popular among the impoverished areas of the Philippines because it is inexpensive. However, it is also raises many health concerns especially being that the waste is sitting outside in the scorching heat. People are getting sick and dying off of diseases and parasites that come from Pag Pag. This is waste from fast food restaurants that are sold to poor communities. “Scavengers” work tirelessly in the intense heat rummaging through the waste for hours on end then the waste is recooked and sold for 20-30 pesos (less than $1) within their community.

Everyone especially children deserve healthy and hearty meals. @projectpearls Adopt-a-Family holiday campaign is still going on. Just for $20, you’ll be able to feed 6-8 people in a family. This includes a holiday grocery pack: full entree and dessert and toys for all the children in the family. Learn more at www.projectpearls.org.

Help make a difference and save lives 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹. Link in bio to donate.

This one holds a very special place in my heart. ❤️🇵🇭

For many of us, Christmas means deciding what to cook, what gifts to buy, or where we’ll celebrate. But for families living in extreme poverty in the Philippines, the question can be much simpler: Will we have enough to eat today?

I’ve seen firsthand what poverty can look like…families stretching what little they have, children growing up without basic necessities, and parents doing whatever they can just to put food on the table. For some, finding the next meal is a daily struggle.

That reality stays with you.

It’s one of the reasons Project PEARLS will always hold such a special place in my heart. This Christmas, just $20 / ₱1,000 can help give a family groceries, gifts for their children, and the opportunity to sit together at a Christmas celebration where they are cared for, welcomed, and reminded that they have not been forgotten.

We may not be able to solve poverty with one donation. But we can make sure one more family eats. One more child receives a gift. One more family gets to experience Christmas with dignity and joy.

If $20 is something you can spare, consider adopting a PEARLS family this Christmas. What may feel small to us can mean so much to a family who has been surviving with so little. ❤️🎄🇵🇭

No family should have to choose between celebrating Christmas and simply surviving it.

George Mark Children's House was thrilled to have a visit from @thecityeats for our patients with serious medical conditions. They brought medals from their Miles for Smiles program; each medal symbolizes perseverance, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges, qualities that resonate deeply with the experiences of children in our care. They also surprised our patient Paul, a @warriors superfan who is blind, with a bunch of Warriors swag! We are excited to continue this partnership to bring smiles to our patients and families. by @edylynlagapa

7 weeks. 1,400+ meals served. One incredible community. ❤️

For the second year, The City Eats was honored to partner with United Playaz and Westbay of SOMA San Francisco for our Summer Youth Feeding Program.

Over 7 weeks, we served 1,400+ meals to youth throughout the program. More than just food, each meal was an opportunity to bring joy, build community, and remind these kids they are loved and supported.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at United Playaz and Westbay for welcoming us back, volunteers @doo_da_activities @franboogie @whoami_w.a.i , and to our amazing restaurants and small business partners: @alpastorpapi415 @senorsisig @taqueriaaztecadublinca @lucky777oakland @squarepieguys @littlecharliesgourmetcookies @philthyfoodllc for sharing your incredible meals and generous hearts.

This is only possible because of a community that cares. If you’d like to help us serve even more youth next summer, please consider donating or partnering with The City Eats.

Here’s to another unforgettable summer, we’ll see you next year. 💙 taken in San Francisco - SOMA District by @edylynlagapa

I’m beyond proud of my girl @edylynlagapa for pushing through nursing school. Right after we had Kiera, she went straight into school balancing motherhood, pumping breast milk at the facility, studying, working and everything else that comes with building a life for our family.

I still don’t know how she did it all, but from the moment I met her, I knew she was a hustler with the biggest, most giving heart towards people in her corner, my kids, and any person in need. Lets not even get into how my parents are obsessed with her lol

Congratulations, my love, on passing your nursing exam. I’m so proud of the nurse, mother, and woman you are. Having a birthday and a nursing exit exam in one day is insane lol

AND Happy 41st birthday you truly deserve to celebrate everything you’ve worked so hard for. ❤️ by @edylynlagapa
