Today, our girls showed up #LizzieStrong and pulled out the W to honor Lizzie Edwards who tragically passed in a car accident 8 years ago today. Lizzie was the daughter of our amazing director, who stood with us on the sideline, supporting every step of the way.

Senior night for these @jenksgirlssoccer girls! Sure wish our sweet @lizzieclaire7 was here to share this night with her teammates. But her legacy lives on, and I appreciate the Jenks staff and these special seniors so much for including Lizzie tonight and throughout the season. Four years…I remember taking this pic on the way to an ortho appointment. I just thought she looked so damn cute sitting there 🥰 The time passes by but the heartache still remains the same. So many times during the week I still have to stop, close my eyes and take a minute to breathe and just talk to her. I remind myself to celebrate the lives Lizzie forever changed through organ donation with @lifeshareok . My heart also heals in knowing she guides her siblings, teammates and friends through their life journeys and will forever be an angel on their side. Happy 17th Birthday sweet Lizzie! ❤️ We celebrated you tonight with your old team and your soccer sisters from @tulsasc while in Tampa, FL for @theecnl National Playoffs. We ate lots of chocolate cake and laughed and cried telling stories about all the silly times everyone had with you.
