Yesterday was one of those “is this really happening?” kind of days.

Never in a million years did I think I’d end up on a national talk show. It’s wild how life works. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of manifesting, not just speaking things into existence, but putting in the work, staying ready, and trusting that what’s meant for me will find me. And let me tell you... that energy is REAL.

A huge thank you to @jennasheinelle and @todayshow for having us. We had an absolute blast! Thank you to @amazingb_ for making the whole experience feel so easy. From our first conversation to walking us through every beat of the segment, thank you for your kindness, your patience, and for making us feel so welcome. I hope this is just the beginning. 🇵🇷

@johnleguizamo... man... thank you. Thank you for believing in me, for always trusting my work, and for continuing to create opportunities that have pushed my career in ways I never imagined. Every time you call, it’s because you genuinely want to see people around you win. That says everything about the kind of human you are. I don’t take any of it for granted, and I’m forever grateful.

And @adoralynnn ….what can I say? 😂 Thank you for always riding with me. Thank you for always saying YES! Thank you for talking me off the ledge when my anxiety starts doing the most, for keeping me in check, and for always showing up with your whole heart. I’m so grateful for the friendship we’ve built and for everything we’re creating together. Getting to share moments like this with you makes them that much more special.

As we prepare for Bon Bon Burlesque’s next performance on June 6th, I can’t help but reflect on how far our little baby has come. 💋✨
Through the uncertainty, the setbacks, the stolen costumes, the long pauses between productions, and all the moments when we weren’t sure what was next, somehow, every time we return to the stage, it feels like we never left.
Bon Bon has always been a labor of love. A show built on passion, resilience, friendship, and the belief that art has the power to bring people together. I am forever grateful to every performer who has shared their talent, vulnerability, creativity, and magic with us over the years.
From stages throughout NYC to Europe, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and beyond, each artist has helped shape what Bon Bon Burlesque has become today.
To everyone who has supported us, danced with us, cheered for us, bought a ticket, shared a post, or believed in this dream when it was still just an idea, thank you. ❤️

I don’t post as much as I probably should, but yesterday I took a moment to reflect. Sometimes life doesn’t look the way we imagined it would in the moment. I had to remind myself to breathe… I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. Just keep going. Keep working. In time, everything I’ve been working and praying for will meet me where I stand. God’s timing. Ok… it took me a moment to fully take in what happened on March 26th 💫
So let me put into words what that night meant to me at El Barrio’s Artspace… 😮‍💨
Creating in the space I call home is deeply personal, and being able to bring this vision to life alongside my partner @marlynortiz was truly special. What started as an idea became something real through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to the work. 10+ years ago!!!!
This was never a solo effort. It took a team, and I’m incredibly proud of what we created together. At the same time, I stand firmly in the vision and energy I’ve poured into building something meaningful in a place that means so much to me.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, contributed, and believed in what I saw from the beginning. This is what community and creation at home looks like. 💫

* MEET THE DANCERS *
EMMANUEL HERNANDEZ 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🇵🇷

Emmanuel, of Puerto Rican descent, grew up in Spanish Harlem/El Barrio, where he began his
artistic journey as a dancer. He earned a scholarship to the Repertory Dance Company’s
intensive program, honing his skills.
He has toured and performed with artists like Ariana Grande, JoJo, Danity Kane, Prince Royce,
La India, and ThalÃa. His stage credits include Wayne Brady’s Making It Up in Las Vegas, and
he has appeared on Saturday Night Live and Glee.
Recently, Emmanuel served as Movement Director for John Leguizamo’s Tony-winning ‘Latin
History for Morons’ on Broadway and Netflix, choreographed ‘Ghetto Klown’ for HBO, and is
currently working on Leguizamo’s ‘The Other Americans’. He also performed in Lin-Manuel
Miranda’s ‘In The Heights’ with Dallas Theater Center.
Marking a milestone, Emmanuel made his directorial debut with Judy Torres’ ‘No Reason to
Cry’ at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. Inspired by his collaborations with Leguizamo and
Torres, he studied Technical Theater at SEA Teatro. Now, he continues expanding his work as a
director and movement director in film and theater.

I finally feel like I can fully release 2025. IYKYK.
Sometimes the answers to your prayers is “NO.” And that’s okay! Because the universe (and everything I believe in) doesn’t play about me. Do I have regrets? No. Am I bummed? Absolutely. But it showed me I STILL GOT IT and showed me exactly what I need to work on, where I stand in this industry, and why staying ready matters. So here’s to officially letting go of 2025 and welcoming all the blessings waiting for me this year! I’m ready to receive and ready to do the work.
