I’ve got many others projects, but that series of dog in space is officially 1/3 done.
All sketches are actually done, I just need to put the astronauts jumpsuit on a dog… which isn’t that quick to do because a dog body is different than a human.
So done and posted, if you remember, is the #jackrussel , and the poodle first picture. Almost done and not posted is the German shepherd (picture 2) and the Doberman ones.
It’s an homage to Laika and all the other dogs pioneers of space. With some liberties taken because most pioneers were mutts.
It’s #handdrawnbyhuman so it takes a bit of time and it’s imperfect.

At the moment, this is the entry for the November 3 #spoonflowerdesignchallenge . It goes with a very special striped pattern with snow pressed in track of ski, skate, snowshoes and snowmobiling.
Not sure if I’m going to do a red version yet and put that one instead in the challenge.
I’d like to hear you on it. Can you?
I normally am not hearing back so every one is busy. But I’ll wait a bit in case you echo.
Meanwhile those two are here to stay.
And if I’m not called to work today, I either will be working on the outdoor version or my Halloween (I’ve got a fantastic bats pattern in progress with 300 bats hanging on it, each slightly different than the others because I’m that maniac. A where’s Waldo kind of bats version sans toque, Waldo nor striped tshirt.

Happy thanksgiving Canada.
Theoretically tomorrow, but we cannot enjoy an evening if it has to be short due to going back to work the next morning, so we celebrated today.
That plate would be between 48 to 70$ a plate at the restaurant.
No tea/coffee wine or anything like tips.
And frankly if I was working full time,permanent.. I would have splurged for it.
Neither of us are.
Lobster tails were reduced price and by the pound less expensive than steak.
Potatoes, garlic, herbs and onions are from our own garden so theoretically free.
I made them dauphinoise.
Cheese biscuits from scratch.
Not a huge quantity of anything but special enough considering circumstances.
All made by me. So it’s not that complicated. You just need to know what you’re doing and for once, being born in the East rather than in the prairies was useful. by @eejee_art

I’m working on calendar for 2027 and I decided to give that one for free, sort of, on my kofi.com
I say “sort of” because although it’s not compulsory: donations are appreciated there.
I’m currently not planning on selling anything there.
I may create something if requested, but I’m more into engaging with people out there.

One of my friends came back from Japan with a box. And that box is actually pine and cranes with the cranes in jasper i think and mother of pearl inlaid in the woods. The negative space is actually empty.
That’s the inspiration for this, however I chose to draw Bohemian waxwings instead of cranes and then hand draw a tons of pine needles and star like shapes. I’ve put my mother of pearl behind and give every gems a shine while the wood has grain.
On to the next #spoonflowerdesignchallenge which is cabincore.
And then if I have time, back to one of my personal endeavours. More details closer to voting (oct 20) by @eejee_art

That’s the entry for tomorrow voting. It’s a lot of work. First the fold iris, the unique plaid, the faux stitching that’s different for border and inside and the checkered. And then the over stitching that’s different is a continuous chain of leaves. Canadiana themed. Hopefully you like this. by @eejee_art

Alright! I did it!
Although you won’t see this before December, I updated my #spoonflowershop . I used a grammar checker and it was very frustrating because all of them have ai now and they’re sort of perverting my stuff and mudding my voice. So I had to fight a bit more to make it correct but not ai possessed.
That things is almost like demon. I need holy water.
I chose a texture for my banner because I didn’t want to be pigeonholed. by @eejee_art

Here we go. Last thing on my list before I dedicate myself to the reality of human lives.
It’s a whirlwind already with birthdays, but when you add out of town family flocking in (not for the birthday boy) for a funeral and wanting a visit and friends as well… that doesn’t allow to be in hermit mode necessary to do art.
That’s another submission. If it doesn’t get picked up, it will be ready to go on both spoonflower and Redbubble.
For the moment it’s not published there as I am giving people the opportunity to have the exclusivity.
The hero, btw, is rosehips, bearberries and chokeberries. And the stone is a garnet. by @eejee_art

I went for the k.i.s.s principle with this entry for @golden.coil #gcxlimited26 .
I had to submit something today because of the funeral were caught into this weekend.
Family coming first. You know.
So what is it?
An opal.
Just the texture.
I don’t have watercolor@at the moment so the base is food colouring diluted into water and toothbrush splattered on a watercolour paper.
One just needs to take whatever is on hand.
And then the old salt trick, a scan and a bit of manipulation in gimp to increase the contrast.
Hopefully it look enough like an opal for everyone.
