It's been a busy several days since last Tuesday's @WFMU radio show, hence the delayed arrival of this post showing the music I played on that show and directing you to the playlist and streaming archive of same.

I'll admit there was some electrical assistance involved, but I'm still giving myself a pat on the back for biking 15 miles today, especially after not having been on a bike outdoors in maybe 5 or more years, and especially especially at my (newly) advanced age! Enjoy some photos from alongside Lake Tahoe and along part of the Truckee River Trail from earlier today. The trees here are out of control!

Today in inscrutable hotel room hang tags. I pondered this quite a bit last night before choosing to hang it with the "Don't Send It" side facing out and hoping that was the "do not disturb" equivalent.
This morning I learned (via text from the hotel) that the "Please Send It" side is how you request housekeeping. This hotel is owned by a professional snowboarder so I'm guessing this is snowboarding lingo...? 🤷‍♂️ by @efdefd

Finally had a chance to take out The Good Camera™ for a few pics from the western shore of Lake Tahoe (1-5), plus a few phone pics of same (6-8). Also: pizza and a wedge salad (9-10) for dinner, a shot of our hotel (11), and some scenes from a post-brunch stroll along Main Street in Placerville. by @efdefd

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday with my sweetie @sherrinsta and my new best friend Stomper. Saw the Astros clinch the AL West with a .500 record, met up with regular @WFMU commenter Listener Carmichael (not pictured), crossed the bridge between Sacramento and West Sacramento, saw the California state capitol (at a distance), walked through Old Sac (that's what they call it!), and had a great Mexican birthday dinner with new friends that started with this margarita flight. Honestly I'm not sure what happened after that.
On our way now to Lake Tahoe, with a stop in Placerville for olallieberry pancakes that were delicious. by @efdefd
