The Monster

There’s a monster I don’t cage anymore.

It wears my smile, speaks in my voice,
and dances in the silence I used to fear

We all carry one—

a shadow stitched into silence,

a scream swallowed before sunrise.

Some wear theirs in sleep,

others in daylight,

disguised as love,

as memory,

as mirrors we avoid.

Through the Shadow Self

The room fades into breathless haze…
One eye closes — not to rest, but to fall into the storm.
“Pull the trigger,” the phantom says
“End the noise… become the void.”
But he sees through the lie, and fires
not at flesh, but illusion gone dry.
The echo cracks the dream apart,
a shiver runs through his hollow heart.
The ghost dissolves into rising light,
drifting through clouds, fading from sight.
Smoke curls upward, thin and wide,
Leaving him alone… but alive.

Each stunt a rite, each leap a vow,
To chase the gods, to break the now. The crowd may cheer, the engines cry, But he rides dreams that never die.

So when you see that blazing trace, Know myth still rides — it wears his face.

A bullet sings in fate’s cruel dance.

Vodka burns, the kimchi flames,
A tangled web of silent names.
No borders here, just shifting trust, Where steel and fire turn truth to dust

I'm the stuntman dancer

Lights, camera, action—yeah, I'm ready to go, Leaping off buildings, landing smooth like a pro. Flip through the danger, ain't scared of the height, Then I hit the dance floor, yeah, I move like the night.

I drop, I roll, then I spin with the flow, Risk my life, but my groove never slows. Breaking laws of physics, make the crowd say "whoa!" I'm a stuntman dancer, puttin' on a show!

Dodgin’ flames, yeah, I leap through the smoke, Land on my feet, then I pop and I stroke. No harness needed, just rhythm and soul, From Hollywood sets to a dance battle’s goal.

Feet in the air, defyin’ the rules, Gravity’s jealous, but I keep my cool. Whether I’m crashing or spinnin’ on cue, Every move’s dangerous—but perfectly smooth.

Lights go down, but my shine don’t fade, I live on the edge and I dance through the flames. No stunt double, nah, this is all me, I'm the stuntman dancer, wild and free!

Reading by Paul Damian: A wonderful voice that conveys the deep emotions of this text written by the extraordinary Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi, a 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic.

Rumi's works were primarily written in Persian, but he occasionally used Turkish, Arabic, and Greek in his verses.

City Lights and Fading Echoes

The night hums softly in neon sighs,
A thousand strangers pass me by. Footsteps melt into midnight haze,
Yet I stand still, lost in the maze.

The wind recalls the way you spoke, Soft and warm, a whispered cloak.
I trace your name upon the air,
Hoping you're still waiting there.

The city is a crowded song,
But every note feels somehow wrong. A space beside me left unfilled,
A love unfinished, yet instilled.

I watch the skyline, silver-lit,
And wonder if you think of it—
The way we walked, the way we dreamed,
The way the dark still holds your gleam.
