A vintage kaftan has this effortless glamour to it, especially when it’s 100% breathable cotton that lets the breeze do all the work. But yards of fabric can swallow your frame fast if you aren't careful. Here is how I keep the volume balanced:

🎯 Anchor the face: Kaftans go wide, so bring the focus straight up. Bold frames, statement earrings, or a sleek headwrap make sure your face leads the look!

🎯 Break up the width: If the kaftan doesn’t already have vertical stripes or center seams, build your own center line. Unbutton the neckline into a slight V or drop on a long pendant necklace to slice through horizontal bulk and draw the eye down.

🎯 Keep the feet light: A sweeping hemline needs room to breathe. Skip chunky sneakers or heavy wedges that create visual drag at the floor; going barefoot at home or sliding into a slim, minimal sandal outdoors keeps the movement effortless.
