Are you a carpet look fan or a stripes fan? The Tahoma is looking pretty good with the carpet look. After the soil wetter and blade hit it's come back nicely. The wintergreen always stripes up good and it's making a great comeback after a harsh groom. @lawncareaustralia by @egans_greens
It's that time of year again, we are getting fairly heavy dews so when I get the chance I try to reduce the dew on the leaf. This is beneficial as it allows more hours of direct sunlight on the leaf and reduces the amount of time the leaf stays wet which reduces chances of fungus forming. There are also some liquids that can be foliar applied to also reduce the formation of dew on the leaf, stay tuned for that as they are fantastic and will be applied in the coming weeks. The grass is also looking on point after the Sierrablen plus high k and aeration recently. @lawncareaustralia by @egans_greens
Time for a groom and a little hoc reset. The grass was getting thick and with a lot of rain forecast I took the opportunity to drop the hoc down a bit too. Anyone else take the opportunity to give the lawn a clean out before the rain and Christmas? by @egans_greens
Wintergreen still looking the goods. Even W tyres tracks from someone (me) driving over it the day 😬🤣 by @egans_greens
These critters (army worm) are on the march. After the recent rains they will be out in force and will destroy a lawn very quickly. If you haven't got protection down in form or acelepryn or similar it's not too late. Products with bifenthrin as the active are great for kill on contact but hold basically no residual. by @egans_greens
Cutting the putting green back in after lots of rain and nearly 2 weeks without a mow. Scalping is expected but a feed afterwards and back to regular mowing will sort it out. by @egans_greens
It's not often the Wintergreen is looking better than the tahoma at this time of year, but after almost 200mm yes that's right last week, it grew a bit too quick and got a little bit scalpy due to the mowing. I'm thinking a good hoc reset and groom plus some of the fert I picked up will do wonders for the front yard. by @egans_greens
I have my granular fert for the season sorted, mp spectrum mini for our the front due to small prill size this will be perfect for short cut lawns. The mp six iron is for our the back which is kept longer and has a standard prill which is great for the higher cut lawns. It's important to get the correct size prill for the height of cut at which the lawn is kept. The lower the height the smaller the prill. If you're interested in the mp range of granular fert or need some products and or help with lawn care hit up Darren from @hunterlawncaresupplies and use code Greens10 for 10% off. by @egans_greens
Grooming is a fantastic way of cleaning out dead material and opening up the canopy. Grooming is a light version of verti cutting so is always above ground and just in the canopy, they just use different reels with different spacing. This can be done regularly during the growing season and keeps the grass nice and soft. Cutting runners/stolons also promotes new growth. Have you heard of grooming or do you do it? by @egans_greens
Haha don't be afraid. Send it to them. by @egans_greens
Getting ready for that rain. But now is not the best time to apply granular fert, too much rain and it will wash it away and you have wasted your money and products. Wait till after the rain when you can control the amount of water being applied. The lawn will be hungry as the rain will leech some nutrients anyway. by @egans_greens
Fresh grind and service on the @supaswift.aus cylinder mower and the cut is on point as expected. These mowers when set up correctly give a fantastic cut. Plus the tahoma is looking pretty good too 🤣. Time for some liquid fert and hopefully some rain. by @egans_greens
