𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒅 𝑷𝒊𝒆𝒄𝒆 is out everywhere today

This album is about loosening up the life-corset. Grasping at pleasure and meaning. Dueling yourself, but you’re handed a dull knife instead of a sword. Fear of the mundane with an appreciation and desire for ritual. Micromanaging the moment. Practicing saying hello in the mirror before you leave the house. Mixing up metaphors because you can. Gazing at the stars but not too hard. Embracing your particularities, aging, and being in love with everything. Having “no talent for certainty”. Feeling the consequences and rewards of living outside of society’s expectations.

“But no living man am I! You look upon a woman.” - Éowyn

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who gave something to this record and also all of my supporters along the way <3 deep thanks to Dave, Sam, Emma, Jack, Shannon, Chris, Dean & Alyssa - truly couldn’t have done this without you.

How cool could you feel if you ordered the Period Piece vinyl today (bandcamp Friday!) and had it in your hands by the time the record comes out (next week!) or even a little before?

Swipe through to imagine how cool ➡️

it could feel like this incredibly cool thing that did not make it into the practice smiling music video

could feel like this wildly cool thing that happened where the @evmcgraw calligraphy on the cover art lined up perfectly with my hair on a photo he had never seen before 🔮

could feel like saying cheers to a friend with a slightly cool light drinkable red

could be like that one very hot day in chicago where the lake was surprisingly cool 📸 @shhanno by @egghuntrecords
