{AD / PR INVITE} This week I had the absolute pleasure of attending an Exclusive Wine Tasting Evening @hackstons Knightsbridge in London to Celebrate the Launch of @lala_v_offial Cotes de Provence Rose by Lady @elizavspencer and her co-founder / partner and fiance @channingmillerd

Did you know?, the name that inspired La La V comes from a childhood nickname 'La La' given to Eliza by her sibling Samuel from an early age because he could not pronounce the name Eliza yet, it stuck with her ever since and the V comes her mothers name Victoria, also the word Vie means life in French.

In a recent interview in conversation with Eliza and Channing, I had the opportunity to chat with them both on all things food and wine pairing, hosting dinner parties to favourite travel destinations in the South of France and why someone should choose La La V for your next get together with friends and loved ones for that all important special occasion.

You'll have to watch the whole interview to find out more about this superb Rose wine, it taste divine with its scent notes of citrus and peach and just too good not to share 🍷✨️👌🏻

It's become one of my new firm favourites and hopefully we'll see its presence in the South of France sometime soon in the near future {La Guerite} Beach Club in Cannes 😉😎🇫🇷

So lovely to meet and chat to Eliza and Channing, really enjoyed doing this interview, and so grateful to them both for taking the time to speak with me, La La V is exclusively available now to purchase at Stockist Hackston's in London.

Thanks for having me along for a lovely evening, we had the best time 🥂✨️👌🏻🥳

🇮🇹 NEWLY OPENED AMALFI RISTORANTE 🦞

🇮🇹 @Amalfiristoranteuk St Paul's London
🚉 City Thameslink or St Paul's Station
🥂 Other locations: Oxford Circus and Woburn

Amalfi St Paul's officially opened it's doors only 3 weeks ago, and we were amongst the first lucky people to try it! Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, they have bought the romance of the Italian coastline to the heart of the City of London. This is their new flagship and I mean why not? The location is PERFECT. Make sure you get a window seat with a view of the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral. We LOVED that we were so close to it!!!

Before we continue, did you know that the Oxford Circus location has a bottomless brunch EVERY SINGLE DAY exclusive to this branch. 7 DAYS A WEEK!!! *T&Cs apply.

Now on to the food... we got to indulge in a couple of fresh oysters to get our taste buds going, before moving on to share a stone baked sourdough pizza with an added burrata ontop (a MUST) and we could not resist the Spaghetti Lobster which, by the way, had a very generous lobster meat amount in the dish, AND you didn't need to get messy to enjoy the meat too. (Personally I like getting messy with seafood but it was great as I was holding my 8 month old baby whilst eating, so it worked out very very well for me).

Overall, we were wowed by the restaurant decor and location before the food even came. The waiters and waitresses adored my baby boy Kai, so that meant we had extra attention and love our direction. The food was wonderful. Simple yet satisfying. It's definitely not just a tourist trap haha it's one you can enjoy. ONE MORE POINT TO ADD... the restaurant is very family friendly. We saw lots of parents with children there, and they all seemed happy. This is always important (especially since having children, it's something we always look out for).

What we had:
• Rock Oysters x2 £10.45
• Giarraffa Olives £4.75
• Margherita Stone Baked Sourdough Pizza £14.95
• Plus Additional Topping of Burrata £3.50
• Spaghetti Lobster £34.95
• Amalfi Cheesecake £8.25
• Tiramisu £8.95

*NB. They have a kids menu available: Two courses for £8.95 or three courses for £11.95 (Drink included).

They say first impressions definitely count, with that said Italians do it better when it comes to culinary cuisine and style included. We were invited to @amalfiristoranteuk in St Pauls for an evening of culinary indulgence. #PRInvite

Elegantly designed throughout, this split-level floor restaurant and bar impressed us from the moment we arrived. Every detail has been carefully thought out, and the varied menu offers dishes to suit discerning tastes. You'll expect nonetheless a contemporary twist on Italian classics where the menu delivers to impress with its varied offering.

We started with a mix of their oysters and Aperol spritz having explored their decadent interiors spread out across two floors. I opted for their signature serve @della_vite prosecco, which made the ideal pairing for the salty starters.

Everything was full of flavour and tasted extremely fresh like it was made in the Amalfi lived up to its name. We'll definitely be back soon, so here are some of the top picks to enjoy!

- Nduja Spiced Arancini

- Polpette, Italian Style pork meatballs served in a rich pomodoro sauce

- Stone baked sourdough Pizza, Margherita & Pepperoni

A NEW study has shown that many people aren’t aware avocado, nuts, seeds and fatty fish are all great sources of magnesium and 73 per cent don’t take a supplement either. But this mineral is essential for sleep energy, muscle function, and the nervous system, bone health and more. While a beneficial supplement for both men and women, data reveals that women are 70 per cent more likely to be deficient in magnesium than men. This Sunday I looked at the supplements that could help top up your levels...

STOP PRESS everything on the menu is vegan.

@mildredsrestaurants first opened on Greek Street back in 1988 and was a vegetarian restaurant, forward over 35 years they have expanded with restaurants in Covent Garden, Camden Town, Kings Cross, Dalston and Victoria but did you know since 2021, they have now gone completely plant-based.

I am a meat eater, but after sampling their Taste of Midreds sharing menu, it made me question do I need meat as the vegan dishes I had were healthy, fresh, filling, and extremely tasty.

Having not really eaten vegan dishes, I really was surprised how much I loved and opting for Taste of Mildreds menu was a great way to introduce myself into the world of veganism.

Menu costs £25 each (minimum of 2 people)

The dishes include:

Salsa macha hummus
Pita
Biber patatas bravas
Arancini rossi
Kimchi gyoza
Beetroot thel dala & raita
Kiri hodi
Cumber herb salad

For an extra £5 per person, add one of their famous desserts.

Watch my video, and you'll end up drooling.

This was the restaurant in Victoria.

So have I been converted to a vegan? Let's just say nearly, but I am now eating more vegetarian dishes during the week.

MY FIRST TIME DINING AT AN ALL VEGAN RESTAURANT AND I LOVED

Where though @mildredsrestaurants

I learnt that Mildreds first opened on Greek Street back in 1988 and was a vegetarian restaurant, forward over 35 years they have expanded with restaurants in Covent Garden, Camden Town, Kings Cross, Dalston and Victoria. However, since 2021, they have now gone completely plant-based.

What I learnt when I went along to Midreds is that vegan food is delicious, so much so that it actually made me think, do I need to eat meat?

Having not really eaten vegan before as I always believed would be boring and bland, I enjoyed their new Mildreds Tasting Menu, which is for sharing (minimum of 2 people) at £25 per person. This way I discovered a variety of their popular dishes.

The dishes included:

Salsa macha hummus
Pita
Biber patatas bravas
Arancini rossi
Kimchi gyoza
Beetroot thel dala & raita
Kiri hodi
Cumber herb salad

Plus, for an extra £5 per person, add one of their famous desserts.

Everything was exceptional. I especially loved the salsa macha hummus as of the creaminess and hit of spice. Also loved the kimchi gyoza, which was pan-fried dumplings, and came with house kimchi, sweet gochujang sesame dip, which was tangy and sweet.

Seriously, check out my photos swipe, and you'll end up drooling yourself.

Plus, the decor and atmosphere within London Victoria is lovely, making me feel chilled and relaxed as I was served by welcoming and pleasant staff.

Since my visit at their Victoria branch, I have been back to their Covent Garden one and ordered a mushroom pie which was ever so rich, full of flavour.

So have I been converted to a vegan? Let's just say nearly, but I am now eating more dishes during the week, which are more plant-based.
