Maomao and Jinshi - The Apothecary Diaries

Big thanks to @mo_cosverse for taking these pictures for us at Hyper Japan! Arriving at the convention late made for thrilling time because it basically meant we had to move quickly. Ended up doing the worst colouring job ever for a Yu-Gi-Oh booster pack😬. I got a kinda rare Red-Eyes Black Dragon card tho.

I went into hiding to hone my archery skills in preparation to one day defeat Ashikaga Takauji and restore my family's lost honor! He's absurdly powerful… but I will get there.

Finally being able to do this shoot after almost eight months was amazing—especially since it took that long to bring my Tokiyuki cosplay to life. Huge thanks to @sdoran468 for capturing these incredible action shots. He was down to try anything to help get the poses and angles just right. I really appreciate it!

Shoutout as always to @clownsplay._ for being the absolute best prop maker.

The Witch from Mercury, after dark…

Look at these Suletta portraits from my late‑night casual shoot with @clownsplay._ . Massive thanks to Daniel for shooting me right before the England game and being so patient with my energy — he set up the whole shoot solo while I just stood there😭.These photos look stunning, and I can’t wait to post the rest of the set. We found this little abandoned spot and thought it’d be perfect for a late‑night reflective stroll vibe.

Suletta Sundays at Japan Expo!

Japan Expo was such an awesome experience and is definitely my favourite convention so far, especially because there was so much to do outside of the typical convention events like meet-and-greets and the regular booths. There were loads of pop-ups for different shows—not just the usual mainstream shonen series—and plenty of mini challenges to take part in as well (although, unfortunately, I wasn't able to do them all). There were also loads of free goodies.

The only downside was how hot it was, hence the casual Suletta cosplay by the end of the day—see the last slide for reference. 😬

The company was incredible too! Extra huge thanks to @mango.mask_ for being awesome despite timing issues on the journey there and for the day after the con, and to @clownsplay._ for helping so much with the Avian cosplay despite all the mishaps, as well as taking these stunning photos at the start of this set.

I really hope I get to go again next year💪

My Vanitas photos from my first Dokomi! I had such an engrossing time at the convention — discovering loads of new artists and experiencing Hall 5 for the first time at a con 🤣. Apparently they have host clubs there, which I absolutely did not expect.I definitely need to come up with more astute cosplans for the weather next time, because wearing this in 32‑degree heat was… not the one.@utah1barao_portraits shot these, and I’m genuinely ecstatic with how the photos turned out.

Vanitas - The Case Study of Vanitas

Dokomi is over, and what a great time it was! There were so many cosplayers to meet and chat with, which made the whole weekend feel so much easier, and the convention itself was huge. It was slightly overwhelming because there was so much to see and not enough time to experience it all in just two days. 😬

I managed to have my Vanitas cosplay ready in time for the convention, which was awesome.

A huge thanks to @smigon.bogdan for taking the first three photos for me, as well as helping me up the tree (the help was very much needed 🤣).

I really hope to go back to Dokomi again next year and experience it all over again—hopefully with a bit less time spent trying to find people though. 😞

The Elusive Samurai — Can you use Yorishige Suwa’s hair ties to light him up?

Our second set from the shoot. We went to Holland Park and managed to get these excellent photos taken by @junnybot while basically doing laps around the fountain 🤣

The Arclight Family - Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal!

Day 3 - Dokomi!

As a massive fan of ZEXAL, it was great to get a group together for DoKomi! I even attended my first proper meetup that was actually part of a fandom I’m in. It was amazing to meet everyone and chat with them about all the new mechanics and decks, which I know almost nothing about at this point. Even so, it was still great to reminisce about the old days as well.

Quattro - Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal

Love these Quattro pics I got from Manchester Megacon earlier this year! Posing with a duel disk was an interesting challenge—it’s quite bulky and hard to keep in place—but we managed.

Can you spot the mistake in the photo? If you guessed the duel disk, you’re not wrong 🤣 I couldn’t finish my character-specific one, so I ended up using Ahmed’s GX disk. Massive thanks to Ahmed.

I had to use this GOATed final boss soundtrack from the Sevens series, as I’m not even sure if there’s a character I’d want to cosplay from the show.
