The law is a white wolf is a compendium of spells, a journey into necromancy, it is a mutant body capable of infinite metamorphoses. The law, just like the wolf, has haunted Europe for centuries. It’s a shamanic remnant hidden in plain sight in the Western world, an evocation of spirits, things that are transformed into persons by the utterance of the right word. It is pure magic. The wall of the exhibition space with its tall double doors has stood in place since 1901. At that time, corrugated iron construction was completely new in Finland, and it was not believed that the building would stand. A smaller, human-sized door may have been pierced into the wall a little later.

The installation intertwines the movements of the past users of the space, what was once left unfinished, what time has carried on, what has spoken to us artists, and what has opened up to you.

The train vagon squeezed in between the wavy metal hangar and a garage is an immobile piece of once fully functioning train. Throughout its life the vagon has served as a vehicle, a truly loved Tåget Bar and now, a temporary performance space for me and a creature in the dark tunnel, who audiences named Kasvis.

Me and Kasvis are more than thankful to everyone who stayed with us for short and long times, and shared meaningful moments. It felt that the train was moving.

Documentation of @egle_simen performance Let It Name You Back in dialogue with Forever Days, a sculptural installation by @lucille.leger, @jacques.marie, @m1aana, and @paulaveidenbauma.

Eglė Šimėnaitė's performance roams around the light installation, becoming a proxy that catches and routes light while scanning the space. 🔦

The performance took place at @nacionalinedailesgalerija on April 20th as part of the group exhibition Nematomi Darbai, curated by @martynas_germ.
