‘What if there is no place called home? (Monologue about a damaged child)’ — my first artist book is finally finished. Everything, from the photographs and texts to the graphic design, layout, binding, and hardcover, was crafted by my own hands.

As a refugee displaced by war at a young age — a war that left me with partial memory loss, particularly of my childhood — this book is my attempt to explore what «home» truly means. The constant moves I experienced over a very short time have distorted my sense of home. It is no longer what it used to be; it has taken on new, unfamiliar forms. I’ve always wanted to believe that home is wherever you are. But what happens when you feel as though you’ve lost even yourself?

For me, Tallinn has become a home. It offered me shelter, a place to live, and people to surround me. These people had their own homes, and in each of their homes, I felt whole. I felt like myself, in the right place — at someone’s heart, in mine too. I told them the same stories and heard the same answers. We laughed at the same jokes. With every coffee we drank together, with every cigarette we shared, the feeling of home grew stronger. It became something both material and intangible, something I could feel and share with others.

Because home was all of it. It was everywhere and in everyone. Each person, each moment, every connection — it was all my home, all at once.

Because I am everyone I have ever loved. And I am also everyone I have ever hated.

Photo-spatial installation combining a raw wooden cage with large-format macro photography of human skin. It is an attempt to subvert the oppressive gaze and reclaim sovereign agency, exploring the non-linear nature of traumatic memory and the body as a somatic cage.

Overtook my former self. Throwback to my first ever exhibition experience with my intimate artist book “What If There Is No Place Called Home?” at @offbratislava

Grateful beyond words to everyone who trusted this fragile project when it was just a whisper, to those who held space for my story, who saw it, felt it, and carried it further. It was the first time my work stepped out into the world, and somehow it became the place I finally felt like I belonged. Thank you for giving this book a home before I ever learned how to.

Helsinki:Nowhere. Series, captured entirely on film without the interference of digital manipulation, reimagines Helsinki as an echo of itself — a city adrift beneath a pale, forsaken sky. Color shifts and the textured grain of analog material dissolve the boundary between the real and the imagined, rendering the urban landscape as something post-apocalyptic, or perhaps post-memory — as if time had receded and left only the shell of a place behind.

Some frames appear in monochrome, others steeped in hues that verge on the surreal, even toxic — not a palette, but a fevered afterglow. In this suspended atmosphere, the everyday becomes unmoored: what was once familiar now feels estranged, ghostlike.

The city ceases to function as geography and becomes instead a vessel — for a dream, a disjointed memory, or a vision pulled from the edge of forgetting.
Nothing here is added, and yet everything is altered. Time folds inwards. Reality, without protest, begins to drift.
