zakopane + my final poland update.

Over these past couple of weeks, I travelled with 28 students + staff from all around the country through our campus ministry, Cru, to four major cities in Poland (Warsaw, Poznań, Krakow, and Zakopane). If you've seen my posts + stories spam, you know that I'm obsessed with this country & clearly can't stay away since I went on this mission trip last year.

In 2025, I witnessed Christ's heart for the world and people longing to know Him so evidently through the interactions I had with students at different universities. Religion is so deeply rooted in this country's identity and has left many people with wounds + difficulty seeing how God could possibly be near to them. Yet the Lord provided so many opportunities for me to connect with these students through my own stories and listen with an open heart to then share my own experience with faith.

I had since felt a gentle tugging on my heart throughout the year back to this country as I experienced difficult losses, frustration with God, and situations that kept bringing me back to the way that Poland taught me about God's heart. I felt that the Lord was not done with me yet, and so, I applied for this trip for a second time.

I saw the Lord working in so many ways this past May that I cannot possibly begin to recount all of them on this post. I was able to share with students my experience with learning how our God is a loving God who desires to be close to us so deeply, even with all the pain and suffering that our humanity brings us. I reunited with many friends I had met last summer, two of whom I was blessed to pray with to receive Christ and His beautiful salvation. These two students are quite literally the reason I came back.

I had the most incredible team and made the sweetest friends for life, and got to reconnect with some incredible staff I knew from last year. Finally, I learned so much more about the infinite, wonderful attributes of God. I am so grateful for all of the prayers and support I received for this trip, and I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to work in this beautiful country, whether or not I may return. taken in Polska by @egstremmel
