I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes seeing that one of our photos was selected by @junebugweddings for Best Engagement Photos for 2025 (by such talented judges).

To win a Junebug photo contest has been a secret dream of mine for years! Honest talk: I cried a lot today because of this. Mainly because I wanted to share this win with my dad and celebrate with him. He passed away suddenly 1.5 years ago and was my/our biggest cheerleader (he’s still such an important part of this moment along with my amazing friends and family). Photographers don’t get promotions or hit official milestones to mark growth and this feels pretty amazing to reach this goal I’ve had for over a decade. Deeply honored.

This was such a special adventure engagement shoot for Mauri, our 3 year old’s *amazing* nanny and her fiancé, Sandy. Love you two lots… thanks for helping us win! :)

So proud of our friend, @wiley_putnam , who was also selected with his amazing shot!!! Glad you told me that we won today, because those emails I got totally went to spam 😂.

Daniel and Brie in their happy spot. Just two of our fav people frolicking around Hurricane Ridge in the most gorgeous light for their 1 year anniversary. Garrett and Gracie are absolutely killing it in their photography business that they started a few years ago and I highly recommend following them if you love weddings + beautiful photography by amazing people: @garrettandgraciephotography 😍. They were in college not too long ago and asked us for some mentoring support to start their business and they soaked everything in that we had to tell them and completely took off. We fly them into the Bay Area often to help us shoot weddings and photograph our own family photos and they truly feel like family of ours now. 💛💛💛 A gorgeous @thesearanchlodge and it was with *the sweetest* couple, Brie + Daniel who bought my wedding rings off the internet. I wanted to move on to a simpler ring and gold band, thus the selling of these rings. I made sure to share in our FB marketplace post that we were 10 years strong in our marriage (now 12 years) and passing on those good vibes through the rings, which spoke to Daniel right away because he knew Brie wanted something with some magic and history and of course sparkle. When we met Daniel and his mom at a ring shop to verify the silver + diamonds were the real deal, he was planning the most epic Paris proposal for his girlfriend at the time. He spoke so highly of her and couldn’t wait to give her the engagement ring and start the rest of their lives together. When he popped the question months later, he sent photos and videos of the incredible moment and we were so grateful that they were the ones to get these rings! Then each step of the way, as they planned engagement photos and then wedding photos, they reached out to us and it was the biggest honor to then get to witness their love and meet the actually incredible Brie that Daniel was spot on about. :) I love these two and their love so much and this was one of the most special ways to ever meet such incredible people.
