Hey y'all, I'm Marvin. I started EightFive Studios over a year ago and after some initial success, life happened. I mean it REALLY happened. Two deaths, heartbreak, two moves, personal failures...it seems life really had it out for me. I'm not ashamed to admit that I lost myself for a while.

So I did what I had to do and went on a journey of healing and self discovery. I found out what I was really made of and I'm back here now to continue what I started. It would have been easier to quit, but that's not me. Challenges appear not to harm you, but to give you an opportunity to prove yourself worthy. And so I will.

I'm a person who helps people reconnect with their own personal beauty because I spent years finding my own. I'm a photographer that worked in the camera industry in NYC and DC for over a decade, helping other creatives chase their dream. But now it's time to chase my own. I'm a traditional artist, animal lover, and a DC native with a love of chicken wings and mumbo sauce.

I'm back to put in the work. Always and forever, the reward is the work. It is a joy. It is torture and also heaven. Sweaty and wonderful salvation. You don't always have to be amazing. But you do always need to show up.

Because at the end of the day, nothing is written of cowards. by @eightfive.studios
