Rooted in what was already here.Preserving the original stone became the anchor for this remodel then adding soft modern forms to make it feel grounded and deeply connected to the home’s original character.The final layer….and always the most important ….are the personal accents collected by the homeowners that bring fun, character and soul to the space. A gallery-like corridor leading to the primary suite, wrapped in glass and grounded by warm oak and stone. On one side, a grotto-style staircase drops down into an unexpected descent to the gym.In the middle, a custom steel spiral staircase climbs to a private office, sculptural and bold.This hallway is a transition from more public spaces of the home leading you to your own private sanctuary.
