Today’s Camino came with four wheels. 😂🚕

After yesterday’s accidental 15.5 miles, I woke up and quickly realized walking to Portomarín was not happening. So I did the Camino thing my way today: called a taxi, got myself to Portomarín, and gave my very unhappy knees the day off.

Not exactly how I pictured Day 3, but I’m here. And honestly, Portomarín is pretty damn cute.

Four more walking days to Santiago. 🥾❤️

Not quite the day I planned, but maybe exactly the day I was meant to have. ✨

Beautiful villages, endless green, unexpected company, a few wrong turns, very tired legs—and 15.5 miles of the Camino I’ll never forget.

Apparently the universe had other plans for me today. ✨

What was supposed to be an 11-mile Camino day somehow became 15 miles. Beautiful, challenging, and definitely more than I bargained for.

Somewhere along the way I started walking with a lovely German man—and apparently Germans do not believe in my leisurely 30-minute miles. 😂 He got me moving at about a 20-minute-mile pace and somehow I made it to Sarria before 6.

I walked into my room, saw the enormous bathtub and basically went straight in. Then a HUGE dinner…and now I’m in bed with ice on both knees.

Not exactly the day I planned. But maybe that’s part of the Camino. ❤️🥾

15 miles down. I made it.

A little Celtic, a little medieval, a little fairy tale. ✨

O Cebreiro, Galicia. Ancient pallozas, stone lanes, mountain views, gothic fairies and unicorns. Basically, I love everything about this place.

One more day to wander… then the Camino begins. 🥾✨

And so the adventure begins…

I left LA on my own yesterday, landed in Paris today, and in a few days I’ll be in Spain to begin walking the Camino de Santiago. Seven days of walking, a lot of miles, and honestly, I have no idea what to expect.

Today is about Paris — walking, wandering, a little shopping, Champagne and fries at a café, and trying desperately not to fall asleep before bedtime. Then I have a couple of days in Spain to get over the jet lag before I start walking.

I’m excited. I’m nervous. And I think that’s probably exactly how I’m supposed to feel. This is a very real journey for me, in more ways than one, and I’m going into it without any big expectations about what’s supposed to happen. Just taking it one day — and eventually one step — at a time.

And yes, of course I overpacked. Some things never change. 😂
