It was so nice to have a break from film work & spend time with Mum yesterday. We checked out Craigdarroch. Even though I grew up in Victoria, I had never been inside the “castle.” There was an impressive amount of well kept antiques. The design & craftsmanship of the wood work, the curved glass doors & detailed ceiling art, were truly awesome. The smoking room still smells of pipe smoke & I had never before seen ”hair art.” taken in Craigdarroch Castle by @eilidhmcallister

The local artist, Karin Jones, show at the BAG was an inspiring discovery today.
A lot of her work repurposes synthetic hair to great affect. Her whimsical imagery using metal inlay was stunning too! taken in Burnaby Art Gallery by @eilidhmcallister
