Have your say on the future of the EIT

The European Commission has launched a call for evidence to support the revision of both the Regulation governing the EIT and the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda.

The new Regulation is expected to be adopted in December 2026 and aims to enhance the EIT's ability to support Europe's competitiveness and address evolving priorities.

This consultation aims to gather insights from various stakeholders, including public authorities, businesses, academia and research organisations, before the Commission prepares its final proposal.

Interested organisations and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to participate by sharing their views through the Have Your Say portal by 23 September 2026.

From startup idea to multimodal mobility platform: BeBeep’s growth journey.

In 2022, Montenegrin startup @bebeep.me joined @eitjumpstarter with just an minimum viable product and a big ambition: making mobility across the Balkans more connected, accessible and sustainable.

How it ended up? They won 2nd place in the Smart Cities & Mobility category and €10 000 in prize funding.

Through mentorship, coaching and validation, BeBeep refined its business model, evolved from a carpooling app into a multimodal mobility platform.

Today, BeBeep has:
🔵 Facilitated 18 000+ rides
🔵 Reached 20 000+ registered users
🔵 Built a network of 20+ transport partners

Their journey demonstrates how the right combination of funding, coaching and ecosystem support can help entrepreneurs transform promising ideas into scalable businesses.

For Hungarian startups looking to enter a new market, capital is only part of the equation. What often makes the real difference is having someone who knows the market.

That's what the EIT Regional Innovation Booster Hungary Edition 2027 is built around. This programme is delivered jointly by @nemzetiinnovaciosugynokseg, Hungary's national innovation agency, and the EIT.

Together, we're pairing 8 selected Hungarian companies with experienced operators who know their target market inside out.

The programme has two phases:
🔵 Market preparation: 1:1 mentoring to sharpen the market-entry strategy and identify the right opportunities and connections

Have you ever wondered how international partnerships help innovative startups accelerate their growth?

For Italian cleantech startup @wearearabat, participation in Calling2Scale Gunma: Gateway to Japan opened the door to new industrial collaborations, technology validation opportunities and international growth.

Through this programme of EIT Global Outreach, AraBat established a collaboration with Japanese electronics manufacturer TAIYO YUDEN. The company has also secured €280 000 in funding to scale its technology and was selected for Techstars Tokyo 2026.

AraBat's journey highlights how connecting European innovators with global industry partners can create tangible opportunities for growth, market validation and long-term collaboration.
