And now the moon is rising
on all my lost remembrance:
I was a sheaf of wheat
unbound, or the grass razed,
or the shadows’ shuddering
run before the scythe;
that was what it was to die.
And now I am the clouds:
a storm in small white dresses,

Something that’s been brought to my attention recently:

I like cerebral, stimulating conversations. I like learning how people think, hearing about their experiences, and seeing the world through someone else’s eyes. When I choose to have those conversations with men, I’m doing it because I’m curious about them as human beings, not because I’m trying to date them. (I was told I give off accidental vibes).

Yet it seems hard for some men to imagine that a woman might simply be fascinated by who they are without wanting something from them.

This mindset is costly. When curiosity is misread as flirting, genuine connection gets lost in the noise of assumptions. Ironically, men might actually find more success, in friendships, relationships, and beyond, if they approached women with authentic curiosity themselves, without viewing every interaction as a stepping stone to intimacy.

Why do you think this misunderstanding is so common? And what would need to change for men and women to interact without defaulting to a sexual lens? by @eittahton
