Because the greatest celebrations are the ones rooted in love.

I had the wonderful privilege to plan and design a heartfelt birthday celebration inspired by the timeless truth: “Love Never Fails.” For my client, it was a day filled with family, friends, joy, elegance, and the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.

The bride envisioned a beautiful backdrop where guests could capture photos and create memorable moments throughout the reception.

The space came with an unexpected challenge, an odd, immovable structure that couldn’t be removed. Instead of letting it become a distraction, we turned the challenge into part of the design.

We transformed the structure into a lush floral backdrop, creating a gorgeous photo moment that felt intentional, elevated, and completely at home within the celebration.

Sometimes, the best design moments come from working with what you have and turning the unexpected into something beautiful.

Honoring Austin’s Legacy

Today, we have the opportunity to ensure that Austin I. Wayne legacy continues to inspire future generations.

In partnership with the @blackoakscenter , the Jones family is committed to supporting the apprenticeship program that meant so much to Austin. We invite you to join us by making a donation that will help provide hands-on learning opportunities for young people who are eager to discover the transformative power of agriculture, environmental stewardship, and community.

Your generosity will help sustain a program that equips the next generation with practical skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of where our food comes from. In a time when food insecurity, supply chain disruptions, and increasing food recalls continue to impact communities across the country, investing in agricultural education has never been more important.

Every contribution, large or small, helps preserve Austin’s legacy while creating opportunities for future apprentices to learn, grow, and lead.

Together, we can cultivate hope, strengthen our communities, and ensure that Austin’s passion continues to flourish for generations to come.

Please consider making a gift today. Your support is more than a donation, it is an investment in young people, sustainable agriculture, and a legacy that will continue to change lives.

We miss him so much. @indigenousstylefood

🤎 Sis…this isn’t just another book club.

It’s a place to breathe.

A place to laugh.
To reflect.
To be challenged.
To be seen.
To simply…be.

Beginning Saturday, August 1, we’re inviting you into the Women of Color Salon—a 15-week literary journey through Kin by Tayari Jones. But don’t expect a traditional book discussion.

Together, we’ll explore the stories behind the story through music, poetry, film, art, and honest conversation. Every week is an opportunity to connect more deeply—with the book, with one another, and with yourself.

✨ Come as you are.
🤎 Bonnets welcome.
☕ Coffee encouraged.
📚 No pressure to have all the reading done.

If life gets busy and you miss a week, don’t worry. Every session includes a recap so you can jump right back in whenever you’re ready.

This is more than a reading group.

It’s a community.

It’s a conversation.

It’s a space created for women of color to relax, relate, release, and reimagine what’s possible when we gather with intention.

📅 Saturdays | August 1 – October 31
🕘 9:00 AM Central (Virtual)
💛 $35 per month

Reserve your seat today:

The International Jazz Day was magical. It was a sensational show and it was an honor to be in the room. Chicago stood up and showed out for Jazz. My personal highlights were meeting @gregoryportermusic and @therealmarcusmiller who are both amazing artist.
