I'm not much of cycler, but when @kaplan_post told me about this film I got really excited. I'm a sucker for small businesses run by passionate/obsessive people that are all in. That's how I feel about music and that's how @montenegro_mfg came across to me about bikes. Making the music and sound for this film was a thrill. Especially for the fact I got to work with these guys:

And for all you NYC cyclers, you can see the film on the big screen next month at the @bicyclefilmfestival by @eka_grata

Minetta Lane

Directed: @stephenmmarino
Featuring: AJ Herold & @acecoffeeoutpost
Music: @chrissayeg & 🙋‍♂️
Sound design & mix: 🙋‍♂️

This project had a funny start. During the shooting, AJ was listenig to Stan Getz' Blues for Mary Jane, which set a smooth cozy vibe to the interview, but didn't always work for sound and editing purposes of the film. We decided to remove the music from the interview using AI and write an original piece that matched the vibe of Stan Getz' track and also followed the film's every nuance. It should still sound like what AJ was playing in the background that day.

June 20, 2026 ❤️ Carlos and I got married after 10 years together; a life that’s taken us from NYC to long distance to São Paulo to Paraty, with many adventures and ups and downs in between.

It was surreal and beyond special to do so with 100 of our closest friends and family from all parts of our lives, all together, at O Portalzinho. We laughed, we cried, we danced… it was a celebration of life and love we’ll keep with us for the rest of our lives.

A special thanks to the people who helped us put it all together, most who we had a personal connection to or are local to Paraty!
