Cookie and Sheru – mother and son, our farm dogs, our welcoming committee, our walking companions, and the heartbeats of EKA.

The gentlest souls on the farm, you’ll often find them wrestling playfully with each other one moment, and curled up for a cuddle or a nap in the shade the next 🐾🧿

When I look out into the vastness of space and think about the billions of galaxies spinning through the void, I feel completely humbled by my own insignificance. I am just a microscopic dot, a brief flash of time in an unimaginably ancient and massive cosmos. Yet, in this smallness, I feel a profound sense of connection rather than isolation. I know that the very atoms making up my body—the iron in my blood, the calcium in my bones—were forged inside the hearts of dying stars billions of years ago. I am not just a bystander looking at the universe; I am a living, breathing part of it. When I bow to the immense power of the cosmos, I realize it is the universe itself waking up, looking back at its own creation, and marveling at its own existence through my eyes.

I am humbled by EKA’s magnificence and entirely eclipsed by its vastness, yet deeply grateful to exist as a conscious spark within its design. @ekabridgehouse thank you!

EKA- The Bridgehouse

Eka the Bridgehouse is not just a structure; it is where my soul surrenders its resistance to the absolute rhythm of the earth. Suspended in perfect harmony with the landscape, this sanctuary forces me to quiet the noise, strip away ego, and yield entirely to the raw, grounding energy of nature. It is in this profound state of surrender—where the boundaries between architecture, soil, and self completely dissolve—that true artistic clarity is born. By letting go and allowing the earth to speak through me, creation ceases to be an effort and instead becomes an inevitable, breathtaking masterpiece.

“I designed this free-flowing, grand cape specifically as a tribute to Eka – The Bridge House. Hand-painted with the chakra symbol on the back, the garment serves as a visual metaphor for universal energy and life force. Its immense scale is intentional; it stands to remind us that no matter how much wealth we accumulate, how grand our possessions become, or how extravagant our clothes appear, we remain mere specks in the vast expanse of the cosmos. In these frames, I bow in deep humility to Mother Nature—the ultimate power that created us.

EKA itself stands as a testament to this exact philosophy. It defied the traditional human belief of “what is impossible” by choosing collaboration over dominance. It didn’t fight the earth; it worked with Mother Earth. It reminds us that nothing truly incredible can be built without the cosmos supporting you. When you approach creation with good intentions, strong values, and deep respect, the universe naturally opens its arms. It is a beautiful, sacred chain of energy.

Every now and then a project surprises you with where it ends up. :)

The Bridge House @ekabridgehouse has won the Architizer A+ Award in the Architecture + Photo/Video category.

To see it receive this recognition and possibly become the first of films to win an A+ Award feels surreal.
