Just Mama and me. Mama and me. Nothing and no one but mama The smell of her hair, the lull of her voice, Caressing my cheek, her breath on my face. She is my world, my food and safe place. My eyes close in sleep once again and we’re one, breathing in, breathing out, rocking back and forth, back and forth, just Mama and me. Here ya go @sarahbethlawlor by @ekanders8

44 years ago Eric had to arm wrestle my dad to take me to prom, our senior year. It took just “10 seconds of bravery” for this quiet guy to ask me out but I said “Yes!” and we went! We celebrate our 40 years of marriage this July. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful gift! Oh and here’s a little poem @marynuckolls1683 wrote to go with this pic for a calendar she made for us. “Did Kathy tell you Eric? Oh I’m very sorry son. There’s something you must do before this night’s begun.
You see I made a promise To all my daughters dear I’d wrestle every fella that dared to venture near.
So in spite of Kathy’s fretting Put your elbow on the table I’ll beat you fair and square Because I’m strong and able.

And then because I like you,
I’ll give you one more try
And let you take my arm down
So my daughter doesn’t cry.” by @ekanders8
