Ever wondered how the country’s finest Mee Kiri (buffalo curd) is made? Let me take you from start to finish to see exactly how this traditional delicacy comes to life!
While you can find curd across the island, the absolute best, the original buffalo curd belongs to the Southern Province (Ruhuna region). Thissamaharama curd is famous for a special reason. The unique dry zone climate here is perfect for rearing water buffaloes, resulting in milk that transforms into a thick, velvety, and incredibly creamy curd.
