After nearly two years of shaping this idea, the Indonesian Bioeconomy Finance Lab (IBFL) finally comes to life at the Indonesia Impact Investment Summit (IIIS) 2026 🎉

Isolated efforts can only take us so far, and now is the time to bring investors, ecosystem enablers, and bioeconomy businesses together to bridge financing gaps, unlock opportunities, and develop solutions that none could achieve alone.

Through IBFL, we hope to take a collective step toward an economic model where business growth, nature conservation, and shared prosperity go hand in hand.

Big thank you to our co-initator ADM Capital as well as our early contributors: @perbanas_official , Indonesia Impact Alliance, @apindo.nasional @apindoumkm @dbsbankid @dbsfoundationid @amarthaid @terratai.asia @supernova.ecosystem @angin.advisory (Avantierra), Systemiq, Sweef Capital, @conservationstrategyfund @ecoxyztem @instellarimpact, Katalys Partners, @candranayalestari 🙌

There are many of us in Indonesia that seek to work together with nature, moving beyond just taking and finally giving back. What’s stopping this from becoming the new norm compared to the current extractive economic model is: capital.

Riding on IIIS’s momentum we take the stage to use this opportunity to call upon more collaborators that are keen to work with us to bridge the financing gap and ensure bioeconomic ventures can thrive.

For the forest, for the animals, for the people by @ekonomimembumi

Building a different economy starts with coming together, recognizing the knowledge we already have, and finding ways to make people and nature thrive together.

From Bangkok to Dublin, we continue to carry the momentum.

follow @indonesianaturecalls & @ekonomimembumi to stay tuned as we carry this work forward!

A look back at our participation at the Indonesia Impact Investment Summit (IIIS) 2026 by Indonesia Impact Alliance (IIIA)! 🌱

Alongside our collaborators, we launched the Indonesia Bioeconomy Finance Lab (IBFL) and convened engaging discussions on Bioeconomy & the SDGs as well as strengthening impact investment from the POV of friends across the private sector!

Together, we hope that this is the beginning of stronger partnerships and financing pathways for a thriving Bioeconomy for Indonesia.

Because when capital meets collaboration, potential becomes impact. 💚

Rao Likit (เราลิขิต). In Thai, it translates to the power of self-determination—the belief that our destiny is not pre-written, but actively shaped by the choices we make today.

Spending the week at Bangkok Climate Action Week (#BKKCAW) reminded us of this exact truth. The climate crisis often feels like a massive, unstoppable force. Yet, when we look at the roots of our bioeconomy, we realize we are never powerless.

The climate we share tomorrow is directly built by the economy we shape right now. It is shaped by how we fund nature-based businesses, how we untangle the missing middle, and how we treat the communities guarding our forests.

From Davos, Oxford, Singapore, and now Bangkok... we brought Indonesia's interconnected bioeconomy to the global stage not just to showcase what is possible, but to find partners ready to draw a new path with us.

This is our Rao Likit. Let's shape the economy. Let's weave the value. 🌿

Stay tuned over the next few days as we unpack our full journey, insights, and stories from the ground at #BKKCAW

🌱 How can impact investment bridge the gap between Indonesia’s bioeconomy potential and the capital needed to bring it to life? 🌱

Indonesia holds immense potential in its rich biodiversity and bioeconomy. Yet, turning this potential into viable, scalable, and sustainable businesses requires more than capital alone. It calls for stronger collaboration between investors, financial institutions, businesses, government, and ecosystem enablers.

At the Indonesia Impact Investment Summit (IIIS) 2026, under the theme “Mobilising Capital, Accelerating Impact,” we ask:

💡 How can impact investment unlock financing for nature-positive businesses?
🌿 What innovative financial instruments and risk-sharing mechanisms can help bridge the gap between capital providers and businesses on the ground?
🤝 How can cross-sector collaboration build stronger financing pathways that deliver both economic and biodiversity outcomes?

As convener, KEM receives a ‘birds-eye’ towards these gaps, and we hope to shine light upon the issues that take place within our ecosystems. We hope to find ground amongst actors, bridging the gap that has hindered us from mutual collaboration.

Through the Indonesia Bioeconomy Finance Lab (IBFL) Showcase and discussions on bioeconomy finance and biodiversity impact investment, we will be connecting diverse actors together to explore practical solutions and strengthen the connections across Indonesia’s impact investment ecosystem.

You wouldn’t want to miss this conversation. See you tomorrow! 👋🏽

Bagaimana mendorong negara menjamin hak-hak masyarakat adat terpenuhi?

Stop menerapkan paradigma ekonomi ekstraktif.
