Take every opportunity God provides. I’ve been wanting to go to this Honduras mission trip since Freshman year. I was extremely blessed with the group I went with as well. We worked on concrete floors, adobe houses, latrines, pillas, water filter checks, hosted a VBS at a local school, spiritual care in the clinic, but most importantly shared God’s love in the community.

Yes, we had a beautiful view but it was more beautiful and rewarding to see how God is working in not only my life, but everyone around me. Seeing the joy in those kids faces when we gave them a bracelet and sang Jesus Loves Me, was something I could never replace.

We built relationships with the kids and I even got to share my testimony in Spanish in a local church. The reason I say to never miss God’s opportunities, is because He provides them daily. On the way home on the plane, I sat next to a man and got to share the gospel with him. He wasn’t saved, but hopefully there was a seed planted.

I got to meet so many new people and made new friends. Those communities live very simplistic and NEVER take for granted what you have. What we have, is something they dream of having. And they most likely won’t get it. Those families have the BIGGEST hearts for each other and they have so much love for their families. They are united and getting to pray with all of them was truly special.

All this to say, thank you Lord for giving my team and I a safe, and amazing week in Honduras. It definitely won’t be my last time on a mission trip. Thank you El Ayudante for all the hard work and making that trip amazing for my Ellendale crew and I. Lastly, thank you to the amazing crew I was with. Dear high school volleyball,

This post, these 17 pictures, will never ever ever be able to describe the love I have for Bartlett volleyball. This senior class has been a true family. I have unforgettable memories with this senior class. We have been together from beginning to end and it’s sad to never be able to pepper or do the butterfly drill with any of these girls again. These girls are my everything, they are the reason for why I love volleyball so much. Long practices and Emma would still have us dying of laughter. We lost some players and gained some new ones along the way, but I think it’s safe to say we all stuck together like glue. I didn’t want the season to end, I couldn’t bare to think of leaving these girls. It’s all because of our coaches. I wouldn’t be the player I am today without my amazing coaches. Coach Katie has been with me since freshman year and she’s been my biggest supporter. She wasn’t only a coach but she was a mom, and a friend. You’re a lucky player if you get to be on a team with her. Bartlett volleyball has my heart, but my journey isn’t over. I still got four more years on a bigger court, bigger team, and bigger school. And the next chapter begins…💙❤️
