After finishing up in the Altai, we moved to our Hangay area. We knew this ram was in the area, but after several failed stalks it seemed as though he would vanish deep in the drainage and would be gone for the day. Late on the third day our luck changed and we were able to crawl in to a solid shooting position and patiently waited (🤥) for him to get up from his bed. Couple hours later he finally stood up and the hunt was over, and I’d managed to fulfill a dream that started years earlier. I’ve now hunted in eight different countries with Kursat and Temir Ekenler @wildhuntinginturkeyasia and it’s been world class every step of the way. And it’s not lost on me the small part I play in these hunts, and I’m thankful to everyone involved. To be honest this still feels a bit like a dream to me. I’d traveled all over Mongolia 18 years earlier with EAG Media where we fly fished for Taimen, and fell I in love with the remoteness of this rugged country. My next trip was for ibex, then a few years later for Gobi Argali. This year my great friends @janderson_az and @j_lo1980 and me headed over to hunt. Having an opportunity to hunt the largest sheep in the world was something I’ll never forget and I can’t thank Kursat @kursat.ekenler and Temir @temirekenler at @wildhuntinginturkeyasia enough for putting together this unbelievable trip. Caucasian Mountains, Russia. #thefinalfour Having finished my Tur Slam and being fairly beat up, I was glad to be headed on a eazy-pezy Chamois hunt. But apparently the chamois wasn’t aware of our plans 🤣. At one point the local guide who had been guiding in that area for 30 years, told us he hasn’t seen this part of the mountain range in over 20 years, but at least we had wind, rain, hail and some crazy fog 🤣. But when we needed the weather to clear it did just that, and we closed the final chapter on an absolute fantastic hunt that took us from the Caspian Sea to just north of the Black Sea. Thanks @santi_rossi_outdoors for kicking ass. Tur Slam in the salt! Caucasian Mountains Russia, Mid Caucasian Tur. To be honest there was a tremendous amount of luck that allowed me to finish my slam. Of course the men with me contributed the most, but we got extremely lucky with the weather at every turn. I heard all sorts of stories about days of fog, rain, high winds, and surprise snow storms. We had relatively good to great weather the whole trip, and it allowed us to cover a lot of ground fast. The elevation, and steepness of the mountains was the obstacle that followed us from area to area, but the diversity of the range is stunning. And the people who live in the Caucasian Range are some of the nicest and obviously toughest people I’ve had the pleasure to hunt with. Caucasian Mountains Russia, moving East. The mountains range from the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea, and the landscape changes dramatically, but the elevation and steepness is consistent 😂. This Kuban Tur ended up being 13-14 years old and his feet tell a lifetime story of this rugged country. Santi @santi_rossi_outdoors glassed up this grear ram at first light and we were able to close this chapter a few hours later. Photo dump from our recent trip to @fishthedean and it was my first trip to the Dean River. I’d always heard about these insanely strong fish, and now I know. Not sure I’d have believed it if I had not personally experienced getting “DEANED” multiple times throughout the week. My week ended with an incredible long run well in to my backing and a broken line. Seems fitting, although I’d have loved to have actually landed one of these super tankers…. And fishing with the same crew that I’ve traveled the world with for over 30 years made it all the better, although it also means we are all getting old and our conversations now include aches and pains, and weather forecasts 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️😂🤣😂.. Overall this was a great experience and the whole team and operation is World-Class. And I finally got to meet @adriennecomeau after years of barely missing each other on the Skeena System. Jeff and Katherine Hickman have built something very special and I recommend checking it out someday…. Apparently Pat has left the Gram, but he and Adrienne are both great anglers and guides. Oh yeah I did go full on swimming in “Oh Shit” but luckily EVERYONE was watching 🤣 NOTE: Lots of these photos came from our crew.. @patfish is back!!!! taken in Dean River by @el_paskador

First and foremost there’s ABSOLUTELY no way I could have accomplished this without @kursat.ekenler @temirekenler @wildhuntinginturkeyasia and all the amazing guides and outfitters I’ve been lucky enough to share a camp with. The stars lined up this year and I was able to register the hunts that pushed me over the requirements for the GSCO Triple Slam award. I’m extremely proud to share this with some of the greatest mountain hunters in the world. I’ve made so many great friends on these journeys I can’t begin to name them all, but thank you for the friendship and encouragement.. And last, but not certainly not least @grandslamclubovis and their great staff have helped motivate me to continue my mountain hunting dreams, so yes I’ll continue to keep LIMPING FORWARD! #limpingforward4🐏🐐 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @el_paskador

Just finished up a great adventure in Patagonia, Argentina. Spent times with friends we’ve know for more than 30 years (yeah I’m old af) and met some new friends along the way. The only problem was the food! I gained 7pounds in a little over 2 weeks 😂. We finished our trip with my great friends @tresamigosoutfitters who have put together one of the best outfits in Southern Patagonia. From epic trout to what might be the biggest King Salmon in the world. We’ve already rebooked for 2027, so I’ve got some time to loose the weight before we head back down.
