I must admit, after everything I had to deal with in the last weeks, after my trauma was dragged up again by recent events, watching this clip restored something in me.

I am not particularly fond of death metal and I fear, I will never be a Repugnant - fan.

But there was a relief and comfort in seeing the women take revenge and by that deducing, that Tobias would be on my side.

Strength can come from many sources.
And this, for sure, is one.

This is a small part of my story.
I'll leave this here and go on a small break again.
Sometimes the weight of the world is just too heavy.
Take care and keep fighting.

I am Jane Doe.

When I was 12, I was repeatedly s*xually assaulted by a man who was in his sixties at that time.
He was teaching music, private lessons.
He was renowned around our small town, a man with a good reputation and of some power.

I did not tell anyone.
I was too ashamed.
I was so sure, I was to blame.
And so afraid that noone would believe me.
And I was not wrong about that.

Because when I finally opened up, there were actually people, who did not believe me, even in my own family.

So, with all I've been through, knowing the shame and the wounds that never fully heal,
and knowing the pain and frustration it brings, when you are told, you are a liar, it makes me sick to see victims shamed and blamed over and over again for the horrible things, that were done to them and that were kept under wraps by a system, that still favours and protects powerful cis men over anybody else.

I am a survivor.
I am Jane Doe.
Like so many others.
And I hope in the end there is justice for all of us and the offenders are exposed and held accountable for their deeds.
No matter who they are.

I've been wondering lately if Tobias, too, like Hozier or Björk, is of the fae folk.
What do you think?
And if he is, what kind of fae might he be? 🤔

I normally don't post about Tobias, I keep to the Papas, especially V, but seeing him in this picture and in the newer ones, got me thinking. 😉
