I unexpectedly saw my girlfriend last night during my Target run. She hugged me soooo tight and long. She recently loss her grandmother, who was very much apart of her life. She was also her caretaker. I could tell my girlfriend needed the hug. I believe it soothed her. What she didn’t know was that I felt it deep in my soul and it soothed me as well.

I keep thinking about it and how often times, a simple heartfelt hug is healing. Take the time to hug y’all! We need it!

So today, I not only want to lift her up in prayer but, anyone who’s grieving from loss. God is with you! Be Healed in Jesus Name! Be healed doesn’t mean that you ignore the feelings that God gave you. It means that you give God permission to comfort you during those times. You allow the natural progression of grief to take place. If you’re not okay, THAT’S OKAY! Allow God to do what only He can; comfort you.

This week reminded me that grief doesn’t always announce itself right away.

I’ve experienced loss before, divorce, the loss of a job, the absence of a parent. Each one shaped me differently.

But this week, my family gathered to honor my nephew, my brother’s first child. I had the privilege of praying during his balloon release.

Since then, I’ve struggled to sleep. I’m tired. I’m sad. Some moments I’m even angry and disappointed.

What surprised me most is that I never had the chance to meet him, yet I grieve him deeply. I imagined what he would look like, whose smile he would have, who he would become. Grief isn’t only about losing what was. Sometimes it’s about mourning what could have been.

If there’s one thing this week has taught me, it’s this:

Mazin’s life was measured in moments, but his impact won’t be. The love our family has for him is real, and the way we’ve all gathered around one another is part of his legacy too.

If you think of us, please keep us in your prayers, especially his parents.

And if you’re carrying something heavy today, give yourself permission to rest, to feel, and to heal. The work will be there tomorrow. Your heart deserves your attention today.

We’re almost halfway through the year, I took some intentional time to reassess my goals, priorities, habits, and direction. Life moves quickly, and I don’t want to simply exist or move through life on cruise control. I want to live intentionally, steward my time well, and ensure I’m pleasing God in every area of my life — spiritually, personally, professionally, financially, and relationally.

The word that continues to resonate with me for this season is: Alignment.

Alignment means:
• My life reflects my values
• My habits support my goals
• My relationships bring peace and purpose
• My work aligns with excellence and integrity
• My faith remains the foundation of it all

This season isn’t about perfection. It’s about intentionality, growth, obedience, and becoming more aligned with who God has called me to be.

Here’s to slowing down enough to reassess, realign, and move forward with clarity and purpose for the remainder of the year. 🤍 by @elainebroasterwhite

I got back to it! Texted my personal trainer and said, “Good Morning and Happy New Year, I’m ready to come back, sign me up! After having surgery a few months I had to wait to work out again. I waited too long! I’m back and @beautifitstrong and my girl Emily got me together tonight!! I call Emily the colonel because she whips you in shape! Check them out.

Truth is I’ve taken a break and pulled away from a lot of things, including social media. At the time, I believed I was protecting myself. It was the best thing for me at that time and it wasn’t personal to anyone. This is something I needed for myself. I am now at the point where I’m saying to myself, you’ve been here long enough! It’s time to continue in the vision and purpose God has for you! This is on my heart today. Moral of the story, Don’t stay too long when you’re pulling back or taking a break from people, places, and things. God has need of you and you might be delaying His plans.

Yesterday, (12/25) the Lord allowed me to see Chapter 50! I am so grateful to see it! I honestly can’t believe that I am 50! The Lord has graced me in every season of my life. Still smiling from ear to ear. This weekend was nothing short of amazing!
