💗Lily 2015-2026💗

Last Monday, we said goodbye to Lily, the best big sister we could’ve ever asked for and my husband’s loyal friend for eleven years.

Lily was so gentle and patient with my goofy girls. She shared her food with them, she shared her bed with them, she led the way on adventures for them, she taught them to love butter and perfect their big, brown-eyed begging skills. Lily would let them submarine her, sleep on her and butt in front of her. However, she never taught them to bark for supper, bark and stamp their feet to go for a walk or bark for bedtime snuggles—our house is quiet.

In the end, we were all together for her final moments. Sofie lay alongside of her and rested her head on her big sister as she drew her last breaths while Liliya watched from a distance.

It was our privilege for my girls and myself to spend five years with her. She is missed immensely.

When we were planning our wedding it was important that we had a space where our faithful and beloved four-legged friend’s could join us.

Today marks our four year anniversary and today we will also celebrate the life of our precious, Lily who was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago. There is a come and go from 1-5pm and any who wish may attend and shower her with love.

Today we recognize and honour the strength, bravery and resistance of our Ukrainian friends—four years of unimaginable horror and suffering for no reason.

We send them love and pray this war is over soon. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

When you are a cute little yellow house celebrating 100 years, you make sure your cake matches you inside and out. You also invite people who love old houses to celebrate with you.

100 years is something to celebrate, especially if you are in a city known to undervalue its historical buildings.
