my seven year old self used to think winning meant always receiving gold medals and trophies, but i was so wrong. despite earning only one medal (🥈) out of five events, i still call myself a winner. i improved many scores, shattering my old records. and through this process, my love for this sport keeps growing; it’s not just a sport, but it’s a way of life. i am so grateful for everything taekwondo has taught me, and little me would be so proud. i want to extend personal thank yous to Master Bruce, who passed in 2023 and gave me foundation of the art. id also like to thank my family for always showing up and cheering (especially my grandma, watching from above 💕). most importantly, i have to thank my coach, Master Sebers. he is always there for me and has turned me into the best athlete i can be, and that’s a wrap on nationals 2026. ❤️🥋💙
