These photos are very special to me—or at least, they were in that moment.

That day, I had to fulfill my responsibilities, but I realized that even when your body is in one place, your soul and your heart can be somewhere else. I had slept only four hours, I was unable to communicate with my family and friends, and I was carrying an overwhelming sense of worry and sadness. Being away from Venezuela, far from the people I love, left me with a kind of emptiness that’s hard to put into words.

Many of us who live abroad had to keep going as if nothing was happening, when in reality, everything felt different.

That day also reminded me of the strength we’re capable of finding within ourselves. Remaining professional, even during life’s hardest moments, is something that shapes you not only as a professional, but as a person. Despite the sadness I was carrying, I showed up and gave my very best. I may not be the best model, but I walked every step with commitment, dedication, and above all, with love.

Most importantly, I remembered that God gave me this life for a purpose, and that I had to keep moving forward, even when my heart felt heavy.

Those who know me understand the love and passion I pour into everything I do. That’s why I want to sincerely thank La Casa de El Salvador for being there for me that day, for making me feel supported, and for turning such a difficult experience into a memory I can also look back on with gratitude.

And thank you to everyone who checked in on me and kept me in your thoughts❤️
