In August 20 2025, I experienced a fire that destroyed nearly all of my belongings. I watched my filming equipment burn, along with my archive of personal photographs dating back to 2006 - my memories, my values.
It happened at my friend @yakiv_my and @skatie444 house, where I had stored my things in his storage unit while searching for a new place to live.
I happened to be visiting him that day and was able to help take care of his parents during the fire.
This was a devastating blow - one that changed me again.
But what struck me most was what I saw when we returned to the site three hours later. In the very epicenter of the fire, where absolutely nothing else survived, there lay one of his old Playboy magazines.
I took this photo as proot of some external, non-physical force that seems to influence our lives.
Another line crossed. Another lesson.
Another loss. Another cleansing.
Thank God, everyone is alive and safe.
P. S. I repost this post, because Instagram removed the original one, because of 18+ content. Now we safe 🔥 taken in Lancaster, California by @elbartodiy

The Port of Los Angeles is the nation’s premier gateway for international commerce and the busiest seaport in the Western Hemisphere. Became a next chapter of my life. Boats, ships, gently rocking on the waves, sails and anchors. Incredible scenery. taken in Port of Los Angeles by @elbartodiy
