Carmine Colasanto was an incredibly impactful figure in my life, and in the life of so many. He always believed in me, and he pushed me to excel, not just as a player, student or a teammate, but as a young man with the potential to do great things. He was a force of nature, he lead by actions, and through his commitment and dedication he instilled in us a very strong work ethic. He was passionate and principled, and the lessons I learned from him, have endured and carried me on the path of Life. A "lions mentality" and "intestinal fortitude" are some of his phrases that meant that I must persevere above all else. For that and so much more, I'm forever indebted to him.

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor to see him for the last time, and although he was very ill and bed ridden, his amazing presence and beautiful spirit were still there. C was still very much aware, so we chatted and laughed for a litte bit! I'm so grateful for that!!
