This is months old by now but here is my final project from my narrative painting class last semester! This is probably the best painting I’ve made and the one I’m most happy with. Scroll for some progress pics and some really poor quality close up shots 🫡 taken in Fine Arts Building At IU Bloomington by @elbronkosaurus

landscape value study and final painting

the goal was to focus on 1-2 objects and make the rest of the background less detailed. So I focused on the tree on the left and the lamppost. And technically the sidewalk, which I didn’t expect to like the look of.

Still life I’m actually kinda pleased with. I wish I could have done more w the vase and the lemon juicer, but I’m super happy w the color of the bowl and the form i landed with for the brass candle holder (?) in the background

I wasn’t sure what to do with this prompt, we had to create a narrative space painting. I didn’t know what else to do other than a library, since that’s where I spend most of my time. I decided to create a weird indoor-outdoor space. I originally wanted to make an explosion in the background, but didn’t have time. Maybe I’ll revisit this again in the future. by @elbronkosaurus
