In 2018, I was lucky and honored to be invited to Palermo, Sicily, to teach in a summer program. I loved every minute of it. The city, the students, the people, the food, and the feeling of being an artist free to do what I love. Choreography.
While I was discovering the city of Palermo, I came across several monuments.
Teatro Politeama Garibaldi
Teatro Massimo
Quattro Canti
Palermo Cathedral
Porta Nuova
I decided to create a piece that we can perform in front of all these beautiful monuments.
Here’s a little taste of how much fun we had; I will post the full piece in the next post.

“Winston Churchill Boy”
The story of a young ballet artist staying focused during the pandemic.

In 2020, I was eager to create and searching for a way to keep going. I reached out to Chris Grant, and after talking about how life was unfolding, we knew we needed to make something together—something to feed our creativity and keep us connected to our art.

My friend Ask La Cour had introduced me to Benjamin Clementine’s music, and I fell in love with his sound and artistry. When I discovered his song “Winston Churchill Boy,” I knew I wanted to use it for our collaboration.

We began rehearsing and decided to create a video to share on social media, since performing for a live audience wasn’t possible. We filmed over two days and had so much fun along the way.

This project was made possible with the help of my dear friend Robert Schulman, whose support allowed us to rent space at Open Jar Studios.

This work is precious to me because it reflects the resilience of New York City’s arts community—a community I’m proud to call my family.

Filmed on my iPhone, with additional stock footage.

Please enjoy.

“The Rich Man’s Frug” & “Rhythm of Life”
Masterworks by the legendary Bob Fosse.
To have had the privilege of dancing these iconic works alongside some of the best in the business is something I will always treasure.
What a privilege. What a memory.
All my love to Christian Bach🌷✨

I dont have words to describe my feelings now. Thank you for all your prayers and kind messages. All I can do is celebrate my mother’s life with photographs and videos. Two months ago, she asked me to record her reciting a poem titled “At Peace” and my son Felix did the music to go with it.
Here is the translation.

At Peace
So close now to my sunset, life, I bless you,
you never gave me hopes that were untrue,
nor unjust labor, nor suffering undue;

at the end of my rough road I see
I was architect of my destiny;

Wherever I put ice in things, they froze,
when I wanted honey, its sweets I chose:
my rosebushes always grew me a rose.

…True, winter will follow my endeavor:
but you never said springtime was forever!

Indeed, I spent some long nights lost in woe;
but you never pledged just comfort to bestow;
and yet some nights I thrilled beneath moonglow…

I loved, was loved, in sunshine found release.
Life, you owe me nothing. Life, we are at peace!
