The grief and weight of the duality and double lives I lead as a chronically ill person.

The phantom limb of love. It lives on, even when they don’t. ❤️‍🩹

I wrote this and made this video after I did the move out clean in the last apartment I shared with my soul cats, just after they died unexpectedly 8 weeks apart in 2019. It was in my google photo memories so I thought I would share it. It’s comforting and poignant looking back because the universe in its infinite wisdom knew my babies couldn’t come with me into the next chapter that was waiting for me. They honored my journey the way I had always honored theirs. It broke me open to lose them, but it also made me brave. And for that I am ever so grateful.

With the first snowfall this week, my tan is already fading. I gotta find a good spray tan artist here.
