The alchemy of the profane

It took me so long before I could even be willing to step back in a church let alone believe it was beautiful. I still don’t have the reverence I once had—how it held a sacredness in it. These cathedrals now feel like a work of art dedicated through people who wanted to be seen like god. Their tombstones read like people canonized for their diligence.
Perhaps it’s not that they require our reverence to be beautiful. Perhaps what is sacred is what enters and exits from them—us. The living, embodiment of love. Who turn what had been profane, what has harmed into forgiveness, into a prayer that we commit ourselves to love and alchemizing our stories. by @eleahreimer

a delicious week away in bath.

meeting this decade with the sacred threshold I’ve decided it is. something about sovereignty and stepping into it instead of waiting for life to hand me what I am looking for. this year and decade built in me a self-intimacy that I chose to honour this week by doing exactly that.
Getting out of my head back into my heart—I am nourishing myself in ways that bring me into desire, receiving and expressing myself fully. A self reclaiming that I needed to step into for a version of myself less inhabited by fear, malnutritioned in beauty and desire. Here’s to the next evolution 🐦‍🔥 by @eleahreimer

Sometimes the best parts are the people you meet on the trail. The friendships that go deeper after a debrief and planning the route together. I can’t have a full summer without memories like this. This year was a special one with @lisaeshunwilson and our first hiking trip through the dolomite’s Alta Vita 1 in Italy.
