💬 We know times are tough right now.

The ongoing Federal Government Shutdown and threat against SNAP benefits is unfair and unacceptable — real, everyday people are being caught in a political game of chicken, used as pawns while their livelihoods hang in the balance.

If you or someone you know has been impacted by the shutdown or is otherwise in need of help, please know that resources are available. The slides in this post include useful programs and supports you can take advantage of right now.

👉 Don’t be afraid to ask for help — that’s what community is for. My team and I are here to assist in any way possible, and as more resources become available, we’ll continue to update our list.

Thank you to the community organizations, City and State governments that have stepped up and are continually filling the gaps; not just now, but always.

Keep the faith — even when things look bad, it’s all working together for good in the end. 🙏🏾💪🏾

Since launching this campaign with all of you, we’ve knocked on hundreds of doors, reached thousands of voters, and attended countless community events and meetings every week. Most importantly, we’ve had the privilege to listen—really listen—to our neighbors’ needs, concerns, and hopes for the future.

One thing is clear: District 40 is ready for fresh ideas, new energy, and leadership that lifts up every voice. Every conversation has only strengthened my commitment to being that voice for our community and fighting for what’s best for all of Baltimore.

Let’s keep working - together!

Friends,

Last week, more than 150 of you showed up to hear the vision for this people-powered movement! From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I’m deeply grateful for the support you’ve shown and continue to show— through your time, your words of encouragement, and your generous contributions.

“I am running to be your next Delegate in District 40 because we need a leader who will show up and fight —

Show up and fight for our young people...
Show up and fight for our older adults - our young at heart...
Show up and fight for our neighborhoods...
Show up and fight to make life more affordable for all of us.”

Together, we will build a Baltimore where everyone gets a fair shot.

💙 Baltimore City is heading to Baltimore County!

Join us for a Day of Action supporting Democratic nominees Sharonda Huffman, candidate for the newly created Baltimore County Council District 8, and Dr. Artus Huffman, candidate for Maryland Legislative District 6.

This election is about showing up and doing the work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Let’s bring that Baltimore City energy across the county line and help elect Democrats!

📣 We need volunteers! Grab a friend and join us for a great Day of Action.

When Democrats work together, we’re stronger! 💙 taken in Essex, Maryland by @electbraxtonstreet

Proud to stand with my friends and colleagues at the Baltimore Baby Fund! 👶🏾👶🏻💙

Congratulations on once again securing the signatures needed to put this important initiative on the ballot. I’ll be voting YES on Question I! 🗳️

Raising a family is expensive. The Baltimore Baby Fund is an investment in giving Baltimore’s newest babies and their families a stronger start—and helping everyday Baltimoreans build a better future.

Strong families. Stronger Baltimore. YES on Question I! 💙 by @electbraxtonstreet

Baltimore history preserved with a new purpose. 🙌🏾

Proud to celebrate the opening of the historic Juanita Jackson Mitchell Law Office, now home to the ROAR Center at the University of Maryland School of Law.

Congratulations to Dr. Al Hathaway and Beloved Community Services Corporation for restoring this important piece of Baltimore history and creating a space where Baltimoreans can access critical legal support when they need it most.

Honoring our history. Serving our people. Moving Baltimore forward. Great things are happening in our city! ❤️🖤💛 by @electbraxtonstreet
