Playing a Commodore 64 SID synthesizer solo via a guitar rig volume pedal and selecting scales using QWERTY. Required about six months of machine language and BASIC coding. Toss in another month for learning how to play the thing. Did I do good?

Also coming soon, full song streamable on all music platforms.

Instrumental song showcasing a Commodore 64 running homegrown software to be played as a synthesizer instrument using a passive volume pedal connected to a joystick port. I always said I could play a keyboard instrumental better with my feet. Well, here's proof of that!! 🎹

You can lead a boy out of Nashville, BUT....

...most always, a piece of Nashville gets stuck in his guitar pick!

Here's a followup video to my 4-Track repair project. It's a little chicken pickin' number I created to test my 4-track out with after it went under the knife and had its innards altered. I think it recovered nicely. Who says cassettes sound bad? I think this thing sounds pretty darn amazing!! It's even a TYPE I cassette I used. That's all I had handy. Due to scheduling conflicts, Brent Mason WAS NOT handy! Unfortunately I had to pick up his no-show slack and play the chicken pickin' myself. My apologies.

I did contract work for Gallagher Staging last week and this week. They asked me to install three digital readouts and XY linear encoder scales onto their Bridgeport milling machines. This is the second one. Two down, one more to go (next week 🤞). Gallagher Staging (now owned by TAIT), if you don’t know, builds production stages for many hi-level artists like Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, and others.
