@mcv.uk MCV/DEVELOP Women In Games Awards 2026 was amazing!

Thank you so much to the team who make this event possible every year. Electric Square was proud to sponsor this very important awards ceremony.

We thoroughly enjoyed attending and meeting all of the amazing women who work so hard to make this industry a better place.

A huge congratulations to Tara Saunders, who took home the Outstanding Contribution Award, presented by Charlotte Pook on behalf of Electric Square.

We can't wait to be part of it all over again in 2027!

Women make up just 24% of the games industry.

This is a reason to act, to champion talent, open doors and make sure women know they belong here.

That’s why Electric Square are proud to sponsor the MCV/DEVELOP Women in Games Awards 2026, celebrating the incredible women shaping our industry.

We look forward to celebrating with everyone at the event on September 24th, there are still tickets available for this brilliant event!

A little look back at some of the wonderful things Electric Square has been part of in Q2 & Q3 💚

We’re incredibly proud of the culture we’ve built at Electric Square, and it’s always brilliant to see our folk getting involved in things beyond development. Whether that’s giving back, supporting education, taking time for wellbeing or simply having a great time together.

Here are just a few highlights we didn’t want to let go unnoticed:

🎉 We celebrated 10 years of Electric Square, taking a moment to reflect on the incredible studio we’ve built together and, most importantly, the people who make it what it is.

⚽ Our team of budding footballers took on some of Sussex's best while raising important funds for @specialeffectteam

🎳 We rolled up for the @gamesaid_uk bowling tournament in Brighton, coming away with a very respectable 2nd place!

🎓 We sponsored @abertayuni ’s Digital Graduate Show, where Kieran Murray was crowned our winner in the 3D Art category. Congratulations, Kieran!

🎤 Howard & John shared their knowledge at the @festivalbfx hosted at @bournemouthuni , helping inspire the next generation of creative talent.

💚 Our wonderful Office & Events Manager Lorena organised a brilliant Wellbeing Week, giving the team the opportunity to take part in a range of in-studio and remote wellbeing sessions.

🏳️‍🌈 We celebrated Pride with a brilliant bingo night at @stargazerbrighton , with prizes carefully curated from LGBTQIA+ locally run businesses.

🤝 Brett also used his Voluntary Time Off to spend time with our friends at @apartofmeapp, having meaningful conversations and helping shape future discussions around design.

These moments might sit outside of our day-to-day development work, but they’re a huge part of what makes Electric Square so special.

We’re proud of our people, proud of the community around us, and very proud of the things we’re able to do together. 💚

Here’s to everything still to come in 2026!

The mixer offers a relaxed, alcohol-free space where people can meet and spend time with others away from the bustle of the event.

Thank you to @safeinourworld for making room for these important moments and for their continued commitment to supporting mental wellbeing across our community. 🙏

Is your studio building exciting things but keeps running into the same challenge, needing extra experience without slowing the team down? 🎮

That’s where Electric Square can help.

We support teams where it really matters, from boss battles and world-building to characters and vehicle handling, bringing AAA experience that works naturally with the way your team already creates.

If this sounds helpful and you’re heading to GDC Festival of Gaming, we’d love to hear from you!

Kicking 2026 off in the right way 👩🏻‍🏫

Charlotte Pook, Talent Acquisition Manager at Electric Square & Lively Studio, was back on the road yesterday, visiting the brilliant students at Northbrook College.🌟

This is the first of many visits we have planned this year to schools, colleges, and universities, upholding our commitment to education and social mobility📚

Thank you, William Marshall, for inviting us to speak with your excellent 2026 cohort, and thank you, Jonathan Davis, for making these opportunities technically possible 💻

Congratulations to the incredible team at @blizzard on the epic reveal for Lord of Hatred!

It's been an honour to collaborate with the Diablo team over the past three years, and we’re immensely proud of everyone at Electric Square for their craft and dedication.

It’s an exciting time for Diablo, and we can’t wait for players to dive into this next chapter.
