Quick adventure to Mount Tahoma (Rainier) with two of my favorite people on my favorite trail. The wild flowers were flowering and the bears were bearing — got followed by an unbothered black bear for a while. Trip was too short but we'll be back 😉 by @electricswamp

very fun day yesterday restoring a native cranberry bog! met some fun people and have a wonderful Autumn day of planting. funny enough I took zero pics of the actual cranberry plants lol I swear they are there all 450+ of them.

1. bog ready

3. sgi and team of volunteers working hard to restore this beautiful natural cranberry bog.
4. is cotton grass Eriophorum virginicum L. it's a very beautiful and a rare grass in Tennessee.

last week I helped with my second prescribed burn. it's always fascinating and fun. lots of work but worth it. good crew led by Zack Irick. I did help and not just take photos lol

this one at reflection riding nature center. if you are unfamiliar with prescribed burns it's basically a controlled burn in a specific area that needs attention due to over crowding noninvasive species, over growth of invasive species, and to restore native ecosystems to get back on track for future forest health improvement. by @electricswamp

happy Friday from the lower meadow super bloom of tickseed and ironweed! also lastly featured is a ricinus plant that you should very much stay clear of if you see one. all parts are extremely toxic. by @electricswamp
