He didn’t know the song to which she would walk down the aisle. The bride chose Golden as a surprise and designed her entrance around the chorus. I sent the coordinator a demo video of what the buildup to the chorus would sound like so she would know with confidence when to open the doors. And Nicole from @goldenbyelizabeth nailed it! This is what is sounds and feels like when vision and execution are aligned. The bridal processional is arguably the most important song of the ceremony. 🤍 It’s the moment everyone has been waiting for and it’s usually the song that has been chosen with the most intentionality. This bride wanted a special arrangement of Maestro by Hans Zimmer from The Holiday. I’m not obsessed with this song for weddings as it starts softly and gradually builds, creating the incredible feeling of romance and emotion heard her by our new associate, Julia 🎻 We planned the processional to match the duration of her walk, allowing the music to build gradually as she made her way down the aisle, with the biggest musical moment arriving as she neared the front of the ceremony. When a bride chooses a song that means something to her and her groom, we want to make sure it gets the moment it deserves. 🎻 This was also a special moment because I’ve known the bride’s family for almost a decade. Searching for a classic, romantic song for your wedding entrance? “Can’t Help Falling in Love” has a surprisingly long history. The melody dates all the way back to 1784, when French composer Jean-Paul-Égide Martini wrote Plaisir d’amour. Nearly 180 years later, Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss adapted the melody into the song we know today, which Elvis Presley recorded for his 1961 film Blue Hawaii. Elvis’ version reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the UK charts for four weeks, and eventually became one of his signature songs, famously closing many of his concerts.
