C86’d DIY Vol. 22: Most of our releases up to this point have been from like minded musicians far from our homes of NYC & NJ; that’s one of the things that makes our next release so special. We are collaborating with our friends in Casca to bring ya’ll our first release on both cassette & CD! @Casca.nj brings a vein of screamo that’s dark and menacing; pulling on influences from crust, black metal & beyond. This all makes sense when you realize that it’s some of the same people behind Sovnya & Stress Spells. Six tracks rapidly shifting between intense guitars, melodic ambience, ghastly shrieked vocals, and crushing drums all in just fourteen minutes. We’ve had this stuck in our headphones since the day they sent them over. Joining Casca to celebrate this release will be a curated line-up with some of our favorite screamo from the North East. New England misery @thebodykeepsthescore will be joining Casca for the weekend. Two of our fav NYC’s acts are making the journey across the river: @fatepropelsthefallingsythe’s intensely emotional metallic emoviolence are always one of our favorite live bands & a new addition to the C86’d family @elegyoflenore who’s beautifully melodic screamo paired with brutal vocals is something truly exciting. Last but not least are modern Jersey legends @Mayakovsky.screamo whose emotion is worn on their sleeves - one of the most pure expressions of emo we’ve heard in a very long time. Definitely stoked to announce a cool mix of hardcore, post-hardcore, and screamo bands coming to Brooklyn next month! New Jersey's Potter's Field return, fresh off dropping their debut album back in June - a great collection of emotional hardcore you've GOTTA hear! Also representing NJ, the always impressive Stress Spells once again grace the Gold Sounds stage with their unique spin on techy skramz/post-hardcore! VERY excited to have the Albany hardcore/post-hardcore crew Spiritkiller back in Brooklyn - I haven't brought them down since the show with All Else Failed at Vitus over 2 years ago, and they've only gotten better, so we're long overdue! Moshy emotional hardcore from NJ's Stential and skramz/post-hardcore from locals Elegy for Lenore will kick things off! Saturday, September 19th, at Gold Sounds in Brooklyn! All ages, 7pm doors, tickets on sale NOW via Dice and the linktree in our bio! Flier design by @skeltzerdesign #posthardcore #skramz #hardcore #emotionalhardcore #screamo by @elegyforlenore
