and with that, the 2026 Chicago Marathon training cycle comes to an end.

Forever grateful for @kristybusiness and @this_is_chris_king and their invitation to running! They have been an instrumental part in this process and all the good that has come from the sport!

in 2025, this dude paced, clocked an entire work shift and got me through my first Marathon!!

in 2026, he took me up on coaching!

not only did he coach me in running, but threw in there some life lessons! Graduated is all I have!

Shoes have been blessed! ✅
Hype from coach has been received! ✅
Cheers from the queen have been felt! ✅

An absolute privilege to chat with thee @coachbennett !! I am no media pro, but the life spoken into me by coach is worth a listen.

e: Everyone talks about the physical aspect of running. Why is it important to connect the emotional?

b: “A run should be a full body and mind experience.

You are robbing yourself of the benefits, if you are limited to just the physical.

I almost didn’t recognize her, I had to do a double take.

I didn’t realize how much things had changed.

From what felt like a rejection of thy self to full embrace, it takes time to adjust and get to know the new space.

I almost didn’t recognize her, it’s been too long since it felt safe - what once felt like abandonment is now an invitation to go within.

I almost didn’t recognize her, she’s no longer the same.. or did she finally just unleash who she’s always been.

To the version of us who made it to the start line - thank you!

This training cycle did not skip out on any of the good stuff!
It gave me everything and more! I too gave it everything I had!

I am so happy and GRATITUDE is all I have! Worked hard for that!

In the thick of taper, but i’m getting ready to close out this training cycle.

With each new cycle, I talk about the growth that has come from the cycle - this one was deep and personal.

It feels as though it has given me foundation for the next season of my life. One that I had been quietly praying for. I needed to experience life outside the limits and learn to find safety in my own abilities.

With the shift in running, i’ve been working a lot.

8pm bedtime, 5am grind!
I’m excited to start betting on myself!

Q4, let’s see what ya got!

Sister, the way you move through life is admirable!

You teach me to keep my heart open and loving. You show me to forgive . Your grace is so magnetic, you have the ability to light up an entire room! Thee brightest light!

Sister, you are so easy to love!

We’ve lovingly called you chispita, because the way you move through life is a reminder that you gotta be quick with it! You are hands down the funniest human being!

It’s my absolute privilege to watch you grow up, from my annoying little sister to the ONE woman I look up to!

I could never imagine life, our childhood or growing old without you!

I cannot wait for our 5 children to be older, so we can run the streets together!

You are a fucking bad ass -
strap ya babies to ya back and get shit done!

Has a corporate meeting at 10am, makes your babies veggie pasta for lunch at 12pm, makes a multi-million dollar decision at 3pm and then walks upstairs, with the brightest smile to love on your babies and husband at 5pm. All in one day!

Growth on the outside looks attractive! It looks like the shiney new thing. It looks like accomplishment. It looks like success.

What we don’t talk about though, is the work it takes to grow.

Facing yourself. Fighting old narratives. Challenging your inner dialogue. Asking for help. Accepting the help. Facing disbelief. Sitting with the un comfort of disbelief. An overwhelming amount of emotions. A Crash out. The pressure to succeed. doubt. fear. anxiety. uncertainty. it’s messy and complex. It means accepting set back. It means considering circumstances. It means sacrifice. It means not falling into old harmful patterns. Did I mention you had to face yourself?
and if i’m being honest, the list does go on!

but Oh baby, what’s on the other side of all of that process?

Is the shine new version of you.
A version of you that’s waiting on you to say, yes.

During my hardest week, peak week, I was reminded we need each other to make it out! We need connection - human connection to remind us we who we’ve always been, what we are capable of and how far we could push the limits.

PRd my weekly mileage with 42 miles and a 20 mile treadmill long run. Little me still can’t fathom!

Ended the week with a my babies, a puppet show and a rollerblading spider-man.

Here is your reminder to go tell someone you love them and why they inspire you! Also, go touch grass.

Summer Pt. 3

To the most epic 20+ hr road trip!!

📍 South Carolina

This trip brought me so much life and it reminded me who I’ve always been! Spending time with my family and watching my babies hang with my OG babies was a summer highlight!

Summer Pt. 2

It was a summer for the beffos and weddings! 🥹 Jose is MARRIED and getting to witness it brought me so much joy!

I never imagined @jchavez89 getting married without @aron_jaime_realtor by his side.. I know he is proud of you! 🖤

We really were a bunch of kids running around Joliet, trying to figure out how to do life! I’m so proud of who we’ve become!!

Summer Pt. 1

You were my absolute favorite!! I think I had more fun than my kids! 🤭

Ran the streets, made use of our pool pass and hung out with our favorite people!

Highlight: My kids teach me to be brave and fearless!! This summer, they both accomplished jumping into the 12ft deep end! ✨
